History

The Eta Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi was founded March 21, 1907, making it the second oldest women’s sorority at The University of Alabama.

“We Live for Each Other” Our motto is the foundation of Alpha Delta Pi’s sisterhood. It describes the close bond formed between each ADPi sister. From the moment our new Alphas step onto our lawn on Bid Day, they are welcomed with open arms, immediately becoming part of our Alpha Delta Pi family.

In 2007, Eta Chapter celebrated 100 years of sisterhood with its active members, alumni, and international officers.

The Eta Chapter is also happy to announce that they will be moving into their new house in March 2013.

Scholarship

In Alpha Delta Pi, scholarship is one of our top priorities. In addition to our members being involved throughout many groups on campus and having positive Greek relations, ADPi knows that academics is what is most important, and the main reason we are here.

Eta Chapter provides many ways for our new and older members to succeed in their studies. Some ways include weekly study hall hours, study groups, and lists of every member’s major and minor.

Philanthropy& Community Service

Alpha Delta Pi’s national philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

Every year, Eta Chapter has created various philanthropy events to benefit the charity. Some of these events include: Rollin’ in the Dough, letter writing, and various campus fundraisers with other fraternities and sororities.

In addition to hosting philanthropy events, Eta provides the RMH in Birmingham and DCH Family Room by collecting needed supplies, making meals, and Easter Egg hunts.

Eta chapter also serves the Tuscaloosa community through other organizations such as American Red Cross, Dance-AThon, Relay for Life, and Tornado Relief.

Social Events

Throughout the year, ADP’s participate in various social events. From themed swaps to date parties, Alpha Delta Pi offers great social opportunities for all our members to enjoy.
