Welcome to our 2014 Stallion Portfolio 2013/14 has been a tremendous season for Alabar with an abundance of highlights … • Art Major continuing to break his own siring records. • The continued emergence of Majestic Son as the new powerhouse of age group trotting. • The incredible book of mares served by Auckland Reactor in his first season. Standout individual highlights were Art Major siring the winner of the richest pacing race in the world (J K Endofanera in the North America Cup), the Mach Three three-year-old filly Venus Serena’s breath-taking win in the NZ Jewels and the performances of Chilli Palmer – the star pacer that Elsu so richly deserves. We must however also acknowledge with great sadness the passing of two of our most respected partners - Jim Carr (the majority owner of Big Jim) and Joe Muscara (head of the Muscara Racing Trust that owns Mach Three and Art Official as well a shareholding in A Rocknroll Dance). Their legacy will live on. We are always looking forward and this year we are proud to introduce Alta Christiano and Caribbean Blaster – two of Australia’s most high profile pacers cut down in their racing prime by injury. But, as one door closes another opens – in this case highly promising siring careers. We are thrilled to be presenting A Rocknroll Dance to breeders. Not only because he is a world champion – but also because he heralds our new relationship with Nevele R Stud whereby we are combining our resources to pursue the best stallion prospects the world has to offer.
