Community Connection Spring Break in the Alamo City
by Letty Fuentes It seems like yesterday we were celebrating the New Year but the reality is that next week is already Spring Break week. That means the kids will be off from school for an entire week and it is the caregivers job to provide entertainment for them. From my experience, that can be challenging at times but with a little planning Spring Break can be a blast. Read on to get some ideas of what to do to entertain the kids without leaving San Antonio! •The San Antonio Children’s Museum exhibits and programs are focused on learning through interactive playing. Visit their website @ www.sakids.org •Get on-board family rides as well as roller coaster rides in an exciting day at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Tip: Buy your tickets online to get a discount. Visit www.sixflags.com/fiestatexas •Experience nature at the Natural Bridge Caverns. Different guided tours are available to experience different parts of the cave and don’t miss the Canopy Challenge & Zip Lines to complete the fun. Visit www.naturalbridgecaverns.com •Connect with nature at Sea World. At Sea World enjoy rides, shows, and exhibits as well as tours. In addition, don’t forget Sea World’s Waterpark, Aquatica launching their season March 8th. Visit www.seaworldparks.com/en/seaworld-sanantonio •If you like all living things, you will definitely want to head to the San Antonio Zoo. While walking through the zoo look for the hidden geocaches for extra fun. Visit www.sazoo-aq.org •The San Antonio Botanical Garden has a special week planned for Spring Break. The special week includes scavenger hunts, sand playing, and chalk fun. Visit www.sabot.org Additional Spring Break destinations include local parks, Splashtown, the Alamo, Witte Museum, Schlitterbahn Waterpark and Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. Spring Break can be a blast with very little planning and without having to go very far. Have a great Spring Break week! To read the extended article visit www.AlamoCityDreamHomes.com
