The culmination of my academic work, my architecture thesis is on alternative education.
I selected this topic as a reform on education is paramount in India. The current system focuses on rote memorization rather than learning, leaving students brilliant re-collectors but scantly educated.
Alternative education focuses on learning by doing and experiencing things, which is more intuitive and analogous to real life. To facilitate such learning, creating the right environments are vital. This thesis looks at existing alternative education systems and presents my take on it by incorporating the built element.
