First Class BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design A recent Leeds Metropolitan graduate in Interior Architecture and Design, aiming to build up knowledge and experience through new challenges, and to expand upon a successful start in the subject. From a young age I have grown a passion for architecture and design, which has evolved over the last few years to include the importance of re-using existing buildings; through preserving, recycling and working with the existing, whilst also adding a contemporary approach. I have been able to express my creativity through designing and through various project work and have gained many skills that allow me to progress from conceptual ideas to a final presentation; including sketching and drawing as well as creative software. In my spare time i like to travel; including places such as New York and Barcelona, with an increased interest in photography to create a visual journal of memories. Dancing is another passion of mine, especially ballet, and is something I have done from a young age, including being involved in a number of annual public performances. I am eager to start a career in an industry that I am passionate about; both vocationally and in everyday life.

RECENT PROJECTS Final Major Project// The Silk Mill (as shown in images)

The Silk Mill re-introduces an establishment within the City of Derby that looks closely into the displaying, production and manufacturing of Silk. Derby has a long history within the silk industry and so the space will become a small silk manufacturer working alongside Whitchurch Silk Mill, as an expansion for its company. Â The scheme will house an exhibition, through the use of insertions, and an archive space for textile pieces owned by the V&A including historic silk samples, creating a space outside of London that specifically looks at this material. A comprehensive scheme that looked at all aspects of the design.

Comprehensive Design Report// The Silk Mill

To assist with the design process of the Silk Mill project, substantial enquiry and research was undertaken to fully understand every aspect of the site, brief and project. This included; site analysis, site history, environmental analysis and case studies.

Live Project// City Varieties Music Hall, Leeds// Re-Imagining a new box office and entrance

Located in an existing gap site at the back of the building, the brief was to create an alternative box office and entrance for the Music Hall. Inspired by acts such a trapeze, structures were hung from a large steel frame to host a range of activities such as film and projection, exhibition and a bar. The design was first considered conceptually before being rigorously developed into detail.
