ELK LIMITED LICENSING
MEETING: The North American model of wildlife conservation relies on regulated hunting as a management tool but what happens when elk licenses are unlimited - resulting in hunter crowding, management challenges and a lower quality experience? Join Gunnison Wildlife Association and experts from Colorado Parks and Wildlife Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. at the Gunnison Library for a discussion.

PET ADOPTION
Momma Ava came to OBDRS with 8 puppies. She was a frail young mom but she beat the odds and raised them well! Ava has a lot of love to give, although she comes off a bit strong at first. She has a big bark when she meets new dogs but with the proper introduction she’s ready to play in no time. Oh boy does this girl love to play! There’s nothing she loves more than a yummy snack and some cuddles after a long day of play. Ava is up for any adventure. She makes a great copilot and loves to feel the wind on her face. She still has some manners to learn on leash but with a little bit of patience, she’s a quick learner! . If you want to set up a play date with Momma Ava reach out to ohbedogfulrescue@gmail.com. Just wait until you see her smile!
I’m Bryn and I am 3 years young and about 55 lbs. I’m absolutely beautiful and I LOVE to cuddle with my human. At night, I sleep in my dog bed but before I lay down, I walk over to my
foster mom for a kiss on the nose. What can I say? I love my humans.
I also love other dogs but do have a high prey drive so I can’t be anywhere near cats or cat sized animals. I am a little shy but I tend to bond instantly with my mom. I’m best buds with my foster dad now but it does take me a while to warm up to men. I would do best in a quiet home, ideally with just a human or two.
Lupine is a thirteen-year-old boxer-lab mix, adopted from a rescue litter in Evergreen. She shares her pet life with two dogs, Osito and Ollie, and a cat, Panther. She is the cat’s favorite dog because she approaches calmly and holds still for the Panther to come to her. In her younger days, she loved to swim, romp with friends, sled on her back in the snow, and chase skiers in the backcountry. A clever girl, she could jump any fence to reunite with her people, and once ran away to find one of her humans at preschool. Another time she escaped, the police found her--suspiciously enough-sniffing outside of the bank.
As a senior, Lupine adores her sniff walks, and has fully claimed her role as matriarch, refusing to change directions or move on from an interesting smell until she is fully ready. She still gets a spring in her step and leaps around when she first gets outside. Gentle and sensitive, Lupine helped raise the human girls in the family and always tiptoes over to lick anyone who needs some love. Thank
