Meet Ferguson! He is a 1 year old Heeler/Border Collie mix. Ferguson is full of energy which means he requires lots of exercise. He's also extremely smart and always looking for a job. Keeping his brain engaged is key! Ferguson is house trained and very loyal to his family. He can become protective of his people and is leery of children. With the proper introductions and exposure we believe this is something he can overcome! He previously lived in a home with a cat. Unfortunately, they were not very good friends. He would be more suitable for a family with a dog friendly feline, or none at all. He is great on leash and very responsive to his human's commands. He is neutered and up to date on all of his vaccinations. Ferguson needs a companion who is active and understands that he is a working breed. If you want to meet this handsome young man in person, reach out to ohbedogfulrescue@gmail.com
Looking for a wonderful, ready-made, new companion? JoJo is your guy! JoJo has come a long way during his 4 months stay in our shelter! This boy now walks beautifully on leash, has no accidents in his kennel and has become more social with people, like flopping over for belly rubs! JoJo gets along well with other dogs. He does not try to escape his yard but like any dog if there is an easy exit he will take it! Why not take a chance on this sweet, handsome boy who is waiting patiently for his new family to rescue him.
Marleau is a very well-behaved 2 1/2 years old lab mix. This boy is smart, has great manners and walks very nicely on leash. Marleau loves people, especially children. This energetic boy would thrive with an active family. He is friendly with other dogs except he becomes very protective when there is any food available. For this reason he would need to be the only dog in the home. Marleau would love to join you on your next adventure!
We got Benny when he was “just a little puppy”. He was only 5 weeks old (or so). I got him at The Boulder Humane Society. They said he was a lab/boxer mix. . .His first visit to the vet they said “ohhh, what a cute little pitty!” Benny has been the sweetest, most loving dog we have ever had! He grew up in Boulder in the mountains. Our daughter, Molly, has a horse named Kamungee and Benny would go to the barn every day to “help” with the horses. He loves horses and especially Kamungee!
Benny’s favorite things to do are chase and retrieve tennis balls, go for walks, and lay on the couch. He loves people!!! He does not like all dogs, (just a few special ones!)
Benny moved to Gunnison 3 years ago. He is so happy he is living his senior years here!
