EXCEPTIONAL
Small Group Discoveries Delivering the Real Alaska To Our Guests John Hall’s Alaska tours bring you straight into nature, avoiding summer crowds, for the ultimate small group travel experience. Privately chartered excursions by small boat and lightweight aircraft grant you access into the heart of remote national parks and preserves. Exclusive relationships with Alaskan families and businesses give you a behind the scenes look at Alaskan culture and traditions. Introductions to Alaska locals give our guests a more intimate portrait of Alaska’s proud local customs and traditions. Our version of the “Real Alaska” means that you are always a stone’s throw away from nature, as you view wildlife, dog sled, gold pan, fish, and flightsee your way through Alaska with us!
Intimate Explorations Our groups are limited to a maximum of 24-42 passengers per departure, enabling us to take you to tucked away Alaska highlights where mega-operators can only dream of going.
Exclusive Access to Highlights Whenever possible we charter wildlife and glacier expeditions so that only our group is on board. This results in more room for picture taking when viewing glaciers and Alaska’s wildlife! Our guests enjoy exclusive lectures and hands-on demonstrations that larger tour companies cannot provide their groups of 100 or more.

Alaskan Style TRANSPORTATION
In Alaska, Smaller is Definitely Better Alaska is home to only ten highways leaving 82% of Alaska’s communities inaccessible by road. If you are Alaskan and you don’t have a road, you go by plane or boat. For the usual Alaskan visitor, accessing glaciers, Alaskan native culture and numerous amounts of wildlife poses a real challenge. For a John Hall’s Alaska visitor, it’s just all part of the fun! To best view Alaska’s massive tidewater glaciers and rich marine wildlife we charter Alaskan-owned sightseeing boats and skiffs. These vessels can maneuver around icebergs, approach seal populations, and navigate humpback and orca whale feeding grounds with ease. To elevate the guest experience with trips above the Arctic Circle and journeys to world-famous national parks, we include small plane expeditions. Enjoy a snowball fight on Denali’s glacial icefield. Spend a day watching bears catch salmon at Brooks Falls. Tour an Iñupiat village before doing a polar bear plunge in the chilly Arctic Ocean. It’s all possible! For those who do not relish a lightweight aircraft journey, our tours clearly indicate when plane travel is included on an itinerary, and when it is an enriching option.
Luxury Coach Transportation When transportation between towns and attractions is done by road, our guests relax aboard our custom built fleet of luxury coaches. Coaches offer extended leg room, rest rooms, flat screen TVs, surround sound, and Alaska/Yukon libraries. All coaches are fitted with beverage galleys offering complimentary water, Keurig brewed coffee, tea, & cocoa. 110V power outlets are ideally located at every seat for charging electronics. Our motorcoach fleet employs the latest in emission reducing technology. 9
SURROUNDED BY NATURE
Wilderness Lodges At each destination that you visit, John Hall’s Alaska has selected award winning accommodations chosen with location, comfort and Alaskan ambiance in mind. Our lodges emphasize the outstanding wilderness settings available with views of glacier-lined mountain peaks, tumbled rock streams, and quiet marine bays and inlets. Priority check in at every hotel means you don’t have to wait around and are free to relax or explore as soon as you arrive. Luggage will be delivered to your room and then picked up for departure.

FLEXIBLE STYLE
Dining
Celebrating Alaska’s Scratch Kitchens Alaska is a feast for the senses and we understand that appetizing cuisine accounts for a large part of that feast! This is why John Hall’s Alaska hand selects (and taste tests) culinary adventures that combine home-cooked meals with finer fare. When the location allows, we offer flexible style dining options giving you the freedom to select from several dining establishments and from the entire menu. One locally sourced beer, wine or spirit is included with dinner during your land tour. Food venues range from quirky mom and pop establishments to traditional American grills. Alaskan breakfasts are hardy and you’ll find nothing less on a John Hall’s Alaska tour. Lunch and dinner will offer a variety of choices.
We can accommodate guests with food allergies or dietary constraints. Please let us know your needs at the time of booking.
Homemade, Alaska Inspired Dishes These entrées are a sample of those offered to our guests while on tour. Availability varies based upon the tour.

for a minimum of days and 2 nights ...
More Time Exploring Denali National Park John Hall’s Alaska guests will spend more time in this protected park than the typical Alaska visitor. All itineraries include a minimum of two days and two nights in the park, and on some itineraries three days and three nights! Extended time is essential for a much better chance of seeing North America’s tallest peak, Denali, in its entirety. Where the average Alaska visitor will have a 20% chance of viewing Denali without cloud cover, a John Hall’s Alaska guest has a 90% chance!
All Tours Include The Maximum 42 Mile Tour For 2022, Denali National Park travel is limited to 42 miles of road due to road construction. John Hall’s Alaska guests will travel the entire distance on an early morning tour allowing the great chance to view Denali’s “Big Five” wildlife - Moose, Caribou, Bear, Dall Sheep & Wolves. While visiting Denali National Park, guests will have a day set aside for extended exploration of the park with their choice of activity like whitewater rafting, ATV treks, zipline adventures, and Denali flightseeing.
Big Five Wildlife Viewing Travel 42 miles into Denali National Park on a 5-7 hour day trip. Travel will be done by private bus, with stops for animal sightings as we go! For the comfort of guests, there will be bathroom stops every hour to hour and a half along the Denali Park Road.

ORCA POINT LODGE
Crab, Salmon & Prime Rib Feast & Beach Campfire with S’mores Get ready for true Alaskan hospitality with a visit to Colt Island, where the Orca Point Lodge serves up a scrumptious meal, followed by homemade s’mores on the beach. Walk off the meal on the rocky beaches of the lodge in search of aquatic plant and animal life.
WRANGELL
Stikine River Jet Boat Tour Board flat bottomed boats for a journey up the Stikine River, the fastest free flowing navigable river in North America! Explore the iceberg and waterfalls of the area with a short hike and time for pictures. Witness eagles in the trees and beaver dams on tributaries. This excursion makes you feel like one of Alaska’s first explorers, as you journey into a pristine, untouched wilderness.
GLACIER BAY NATIONAL PARK All Day Exploration by Skiff
Go in depth into this national park, a protected bay celebrated by explorer John Muir and home to generations of Tlingit people. The sheer granite cliffs and bountiful waterfalls will give way to the multiple tide water glaciers within. Spend a full day in this beautiful paradise with plentiful marine wildlife to enjoy along the way. You may see mountain goats, black bears, and a variety of birds along the shorelines.

Set out on a smaller group skiff to get closer to thundering waterfalls.

Hawaii A+++ After a year of COVID-19 we were so happy to finally get to take our John Hall’s Hawaii trip. It did not disappoint!!! It was well organized, met all COVID-19 restrictions with ease and we loved every minute of it. I was amazed at how each island had its own personality and the tours were set up with that in mind. They made our dream trip come true!!! - Connie from Texas
