In partnership with the City of Soldotna, utilizing CARES Act funding, the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce is facilitating a community-wide Shop Local program to help encourage and motivate local spending at Soldotna businesses for products, services, and experiences. The Holding Our Own Shop Local program will run from November 16th through December 16th, 2020, and motivate $300,000 of local spending, through showcasing and incentivizing dollars spent. For every $200 spent shopping local, participants will receive two (2) $50 vouchers of their choice to spend at local participating businesses by the end of 2020. The City of Soldotna has earmarked $100,000 for this program!
How it works:
Support local Soldotna businesses by shopping and spending $200 on discretionary items. Save your receipts! Once you have spent $200, turn in your receipts to the Soldotna Chamber for verication, and then receive (2) $50 vouchers you select from participating businesses. Discretionary purchases in this program include, but are not limited to: Clothing, furniture, tools, sporting goods, art, jewelry, massage, haircuts, restaurants, cafes, bars & distilleries, museums, books, owers, & collectibles. Non-Discretionary purchases are not eligible under this program, and include, but are not limited to: Groceries, fuel, utilities, vehicles, mortgage or rent, rewood, medical bills or prescriptions.
