Many of the followers didn’t like what they were hearing (conviction) and grumbled as He continued his teaching. His response: “Does this offend you? What if you see the Son of Man ascend to where He was before! The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.”

The baby feeding was over, and He was speaking truth, but you had to want it and want to understand it. We see where He revealed the miracles to build up their faith, to help them accept His truth. He does the same today for us. He encourages us, loves us, feeds us, does miracles for us (that we mostly ignore or dismiss), teaches us, but we can easily turn our back on Him or, in faith accept Him. Accepting Him is faith and like the early followers that accepted His teaching, as we make that step He becomes so real, so personal and so intimate with His love for us.
