Alauda Publications

Alauda Publications is a new publishing house in the field of contemporary art, culture and theory. Our aim is to publish works of which form and content meaningfully interrelate. Close collaboration with artists, authors and art institutions is essential to us, both in case of commissioned works as well as initiatives proposed by others. A cross-disciplinary editorial approach allows for a wide range of themes. We offer a platform for publishing on subjects of contemporary and topical interest in the field of art and culture in the broadest sense. Further, we perceive a book as an alternative medium for artists, both as a visual object and as way of documenting the artistic process. Alauda Publications is an Amsterdam-based internationally operating publishing house, founded in 2009. The editorial board consists of Esther Krop (graphic designer) and Ingrid Commandeur (independent art critic/researcher).
