Afterschool Program

Friendship Club is an afterschool oasis where children are nurtured, respected, and create their own community within our walls Our curriculum is inquiry based and driven by the needs, interests and conundrums of the children

Children are encouraged to make choices, take risks, and spend time to construct their own understandings Activities are presented to children in an open-ended approach where there is no single correct way to determine the outcome, emphasizing the process not the product Participants have the opportunity to play indoors and outdoors, along with having time for relaxation and homework

August 15, 2022–June 2, 2023 Program days will correspond with the Albany Unified School District calendar

FEES:

5 days/week (no partial registration) Early Bird–6 PM: $620/month Late Bird–6 PM: $465/month

Junior Counselor Program

The Junior Counselor program offers tweens and teens from 6th-11th grade the opportunity to give back to their community, gain valuable leadership experience, prepare for a future job, and be a mentor to younger children This program allows participants to join our City of Albany Friendship Club Staff in exploring what it takes to create, fun, dynamic, afterschool programming and curriculum

Resident $150 & Non-Resident $160 per 3-month commitment

Fall: September-November Winter: December-February Spring: March-May

Come spend your school vacation days at our Seasonal Camps! Children will spend their days immersed in art, science, engineering, games, and indoor/outdoor play! We are now offering two sites for two different age groups! • Elementary Age (9 AM-4 PM) for children in 1st-5th grade • Kinder Age (8:30 AM-12:30 PM) for children in TK and Kindergarten

Parent + Child Classes

Our new Messy Art class is for children ages 2-4 years old and their caregivers to explore and experiment with a variety of art mediums all while getting messy, having fun, and building community!
