Traditional Color Games in Don Bosco Cambodia
The Feast of Don Bosco was really colorful this year: We have photos from all the Don Bosco schools full of happiness and sport. Congratulations to all. It was 130 years of the passing away of Don Bosco in Turin. But it is for all of us a time of prayer, joy and love for our dear founder Father. We believe that Don Bosco is in heaven and he helps us with inspiration to love and support the children and youth. Thanks to all and have a nice Chinese New Year. Fr. Ly Samnang Rector Don Bosco Kep

Don Bosco Cambodia celebrates the traditional annual Color Games in all its educative centers, from Poipet and Battambang passing through the capital to Sihanoukville and Kep. It marks the celebrations for the feast of Saint John Bosco who died on January 31, 1888 in Turin, Italy. With a presence in 133 countries around the world, the Salesians of Don Bosco make a big contribution to the education of children and youth, especially those from poor and vulnerable situations. The Salesians got in contact with the Cambodian people in the refugee camps in Thailand during the Cambodian civil war (1979-1991). Don Bosco set in Phnom Penh during the Paris Peace process upon an invitation of the Royal Government. Since then, it has served hundreds of children and youth to improve their standard of life through education.

10th Anniversary of the Besucco Boys of Studies
Phnom Penh - The Besucco House of Studies was erected in the year 2007 by St. John Bosco Community under the leadership of the then Rector Fr. Leo Ochoa Sdb. The house was built to offer young people who could not afford education the opportunity to get study. Thus, it was called Besucco House of Studies. Speaking with Fr. Leo, he said “Besucco House of Studies was built for the poor young people of Cambodia. I wanted an atmosphere where The first and last generations of Besucco Boys with their founder, Fr. Leo Ochoa, SDB during the 10th anniversary. young people could study and come to discover the talents they have. Thus, Besucco House of Studies has since been offering a holistic formation. The house offers both human, religious and intellectual formation.” The house has also been able to raise vocation for the Diocesan Seminary as well. According to Fr. Leo four boys from the first batch joined the seminary. Presently, we have 3 former Besucco Boys who are in the seminary. On the other hand, the house has produce vocation into the religious life as well. We have Br. Saroung and Br. Dara who are Salesians now. Both of them are currently studying in Thailand. It was on this backdrop that Fr Leo Ochoa, SDB, during his speech for the 10th Years of Besucco House of Studies, advised the young boys to continue to follow the young saints like St. Dominic Savio and good boys like Michael Magone, Francisco Besucco. He says: “Please try to follow the footsteps of Don Bosco and if any of you feel CALL to the the religious Salesian life, please respond with a joyful heart. However, what it is important is the call to youthful holiness. So be happy and Be Holy. God bless you..

Hans dedicated his time to improve the English of the students of hospitality department. Like a painter, he let some artistic works in the school, especially in the Kindergarten. Both of them are from Spain, but Mr. Mr. Javier, left and Mr. Hans, right, with Fr. Samnang, the shorter and Br. Samnang Jr, in Don Bosco Kep. Javier lives in Colombia from some years ago.
