The Practice of architecture and construction today encompasses a widening spectrum of related disciplines. Problems encountered have becoming increasingly complex, litigious and cannot be dealt with in isolation. A holistic inter-disciplinary approach to the solution is required. This has been recognized by the Practice and it is the firm’s objective to built up a multidisciplinary organization in order to achieve a continuing interaction among the different disciplines right from the commencement of a project. Besides architects, the firm have an established network of town planners, interior designers, landscape architects, artist, graphic designers, illustrator and 3D computer Modeler to collaborate in any given tasks.In practice, Azhar Zahari Architect adopts a simple holistic action-oriented approach to planning and design. Customer dedication is given highest priority in satisfying all client’s need. Under the lead of the Principal, each project is effectivelyevaluated throughout the planning and design process from conception to completion.This contributes to a single minded and coordinated approach in order to arrive to a total solution.

THE OFFICE Since its inception in 2003, Azhar Zahari Architect has continuously demonstrated its ability to invent and tackle diverse project complexities and typologies.Projects ranges in scale and type, from individually designed bungalows and concept development for F&B franchise to institutional and educational facilities and urban design planning for the first national submarine base. Over the past seven years, the firm has completed several interior design projects and industrial and educational facilities.

Sejak bermula pada tahun 2003, Azhar Zahari Arkitek telah terus menunjukkan kemampuannya untuk mencipta dan menangani pelbagai jenis projek. Ia meliputi pelbagai jenis projek dan skala yang berlainan, daripada banglo yang direka secara individual dan pengembangan konsep untuk francais F&B, kemudahan institusi pendidikan dan rekabentuk serta perancangan kawasan untuk pangkalan kapal selam negara yang pertama. Setelah tujuh tahun beroperasi, syarikat telah menyelesaikan beberapa projek rekabentuk hiasan dalaman, industri dan kemudahan pendidikan.

The office facilities include space for 15 personnel’s, model making workshop and facilities, photography and imaging studio, product filling and archive store, reference facilities and computing facilities which include 10 DELL Precision Workstation, 1 HP Plotter A0+ size, 1 Canon PIXMA Colour printer A3+ size, 1 EPSON Laserjet A3+ size, 1 Canon A4 printer/Scanner, Slide projector/Scanner, 4 DELL mobile workstation etc. License software includes Autodesk AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Standard, Microsoft Office Project Standard, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, V-ray Sketchup and Coreldraw Graphics Suite.

Kemudahan pejabat termasuklah ruang kerja untuk 15 orang, bengkel dan kemudahan pembuatan model, studio fotografi, setor penyimpanan dan arkib, kemudahan rujukan dan kemudahan berkomputer meliputi 10 DELL Precision Workstation, 1 HP Plotter A0+ size, 1 Canon PIXMA Colour printer A3+ size, 1 EPSON Laserjet A3+ size, 1 Canon A4 printer/Scanner, Slide projector/Scanner, 4 DELL mobile workstation dan sebagainya. Majlis Perbandaran Sepanf has been upgraded to a “Majlis Perbandaran“ standard on 3rd March 2005 and now the total area under the administration of MPSepang is 56,159 hectares. The Sepang District is situated in the southern part of Selangor with the acreage of 152,958 acres ot 61,900 hectares and had a population of 212,050 at the 2010 Population Census. Sepang district is divided into three (3) mukims which are Dengkil, Labu and Sepang. The capital of Sepang District is Bandar Salak Tinggi. Cyberjaya is located in Mukim Dengkil and covers an area of 6,960.0 acres or 2.816.6. hectares.

ONE PUTRA CENTRE, UPM SERDANG, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA 2016 Client - UPM HOLDINGS

ONE PUTRA ; a new commercial node of Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) located at the heart of the university masterplan with optional accessibility from the two main highways, South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) and Besraya Expressway within the outer ring of the infamous federal administrative centre of Malaysia, Putrajaya. ONE PUTRA promotes a new eco-commercial bussiness environment for the university integrated with the existing campus buildings, ammenities and lavish green background creating a vibrant commercial area for the end user. ONE PUTRA commercial entity spreading from banking institution, public and private colleges and coporate offices. It will also become the catalyst for various al-fresco dining in the future.

UPM PARK SERDANG, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA 2015 Client - UPM HOLDINGS UPM Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (UPMH), plans to embark on a property development to unlock the land value on some of the land holding, and together to expand, for their growing demand for office, training, and teaching spaces. The site, Lot 48450 measuring 14 acres next to the existing PLUS North-South Highway provides the most ideal location, for its commanding view and exposure to attract people from both the highway users and neighbouring areas. An exercise has been carried out to determine the most effective development which based on the following criteria: 1. PUTRA MEDICAL CITY SERDANG, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA 2014 Client - UNIVERSITI PUTRA MALAYSIA (UPM) The development of ‘Putra Medical City’(PMC) is of great significant to UPM Medical Faculty / Serdang Hospital Complex and to the Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) community in general. It is envisaged the that the development on Eastern border of UPM, along South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE) realizes the objectives and developed as the country’s foremost premier ‘Medical City’ providing an intergrated and holistic Healthcare Services. When combined together with the existing Serdang Hosital Complex, UPMTeaching Hospital, and future extension of UPM Hospital Complex, overall complex will become the biggest medical and healthcare center in the country.

PARCEL N4 & N5 OF RESIDENTIAL SOUTH, NUSAJAYA MUKIM PULAI, JOHOR BAHRU, MALAYSIA 2014 Client - UEM SUNRISE The development of Parcel N4 and N5 of Residential South is of great significant to UEM-Sunrise Group and to the Iskandar Malaysia Regional Development Authority community in general. It is envisage the that the development fronting the Straights of Johor realizes the objectives and developed as the first premier oceanfront development in the country. Adjacent to Puteri Harbour and the newly completed Johor Administrative Complex, Kota Iskandar, the development strived to establish modern architecture and facilities, to be similar to the luxury development of Sanctuary Cove in Australia. SERAI WANGI VILLA TAMAN SUPREME, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA 2012 Client - IJM LAND South of the Kuala Lumpur City Center, along Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), the site is accessible from many interconnecting both major and minor streets into Jalan Ketumbar until the end and merge with Jalan Serai Wangi within Taman Supreme, Cheras. Rises to the top along Jalan Serai wangi and approximately 20 meters elevated from Jalan Ketumbar, the present site entrance is located through existing individual bungalow units. In the west-east direction, the site is occupied by the existing Bungalow, a long narrow strip of varying plateau and gradually descending valley to the east that finally meets the foot hill of part of Bukit Apek. A narrow strip back-lane of 10 feet wide which services the existing rows of bungalow will be acquired from the Local Council and all existing underground services diverted and relocated, will form the entire development site. If the few other Bungalow lots fronting the site is acquired, part of the inroad will also be subjected to acquisition from the Local Council.

CAR SHOWROOM FOR LOTUS CAR MALAYSIA DAMANSARA UTAMA, KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA 2012 Client - PROTON EDAR SDN BHD Located on a prominent site along the Damansara - Puchong Highway, the new Lotus Showroom is a distinctive but minimalist building which echoes the spirit of the Lotus brand synonymous with purity and simplicity. The design brief calls for both a showroom which showcases the heritage of Lotus alongside its stable of thoroughbred vehicles as well as a comprehensive Service Center and Owner’s Lounge specific to Lotus cars and owners. Together as a whole, the project aims to provide Lotus customers with an exhilarating journey that enforces the Lotus brand and identity.

This vision includes the goal of making Pekan, the home of ICAM and the Group’s integrated automotive complex, a vibrant and self-sustaining regional automotive centre, which will house state-of-the-art technology but more importantly a highly skilled & knowledgeable workforce . The new campus covering an area of 41 acres, will become the main campus for ICAM’s School of Engineering and Business and scheduled for operation by early of 2013. The facilities will include; Main Administration Building, School of Engineering and Business, Amenities Centre, Workshops and Laboratories Facilities, Test Track/Road Circuit with supporting facilities, Car Showroom and Sport Complex and Mini Stadium

GRADUATE SCHOOL MANAGEMENT (GSM), FACULTY COMPLEX, UPM SERDANG, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA 2009 Client - UNIVERSITY PUTRA MALAYSIA (UPM) The Graduate School of Management, University Putra Malaysia, or better known as GSM was selected as one of two of Malaysia’s Top Business Schools based on an excellent record of administration and internationalrecognition. With that in mind, the Ministry of Higher Education has allocated funds for UPM to develop a new Graduate School of Management building with a target capacity of 2000 students as compared to the current 700 to 800 students. The Office of Development and Asset Management (PPPA) acting asProjectManagerhashenceproceededwith theappointmentofconsultantstocommence the process of design and implementation.

The applied design was based on a floor plan which was adapted from the morphology of a book which represented the relationship between the worldly and the hereafter as a process of comprehensive learning. The image of the building makes reference to a style of architecture which represents the majesty and grandeur of Islamic architecture. A combination of colonnades and series of arches has been used as the main feature of the design to achieve this intent. This complex which has two main entrances has a series of five pillars at the entrance which represents the five pillars of Islam. As such, although the school is not a center of islamic teaching, islamic architectural elements have been introduced to glorify the aesthetics of Islamic architecture.In terms of the choice of finishes, the use of white marble and spray granite has been proposed to create a building which blends well with the surroundings. The use of light colours further enhances a serene environment suitable for the process of learning.

SUBMARINE BASE SEPANGGAR BAY, K,KINABALU, SABAH 2006 Client - ROYAL MALAYSIAN NAVY The planning of the complex, integrated as a whole, the submarinebase and necessary facilities shall suit the intentions and sitecondition. The design ideas shall be modern, sophisticated, innovative and to portray Malaysian identity that blends with the surrounding.The overall concept is envisaged the RMN’s theme “Quality of Life for Navy Personnel”. Being the first of such project to be undertaken in Malaysia, the submarine base shall smartly function with ‘fit for purpose’ encompassing the entire process from the submarine is built and fitted, the training and well being of its crew and supporting personnel of the pre-delivery period to the post-delivery period of ensuringtheoperation,managementandlogisticalsupport to ensure the supportability through out its life.
