The village of vescasa Bassa is located in an isolated areain the mountains, however it has nearby attraction points. A specifically designed post was introduced, leading the way to the site from Ponte Di Legno village aswell as the ski slopes The post responds to the environmental conditions such as snow and natural surrounding (color, height, foundation...).
The main map: The different ways that would lead to Vescasa Bassa - By foot from ponte di legno. - By cable lift. - By car. About the signs: - Robustness: strong enough to withstand vandalism and people leaning on them. - Durability: May need to last for many years and still be legible.

VILLAGE REHABILITATION
During summer some residents inhibit the village bringing along livestock, But During winter time the area is quite empty. The idea was to introduce new activities to the site in order to attract people to come and stay for a couple of days.
Development was split into 2 groups, first one dedicated to the cheese factory and second for residential small hubs with a common library space.
The new buildings are elevated on pilotis in order to lower the impact, preserve the natural topography of the site, and create outdoor shaded spaces underneath each volume.
Landscape is created using organised and sorted natural elements to keep this mountain nature escape feeling.
CONCEPT - DESIGN STRATEGY 7
VILLAGE REHABILITATION The idea was to create an After Destination for the cheese factory
The main volume is connected to other rental residential ones each having a different vue aswell as skylight for stargazing.
Reception key for distribution and info
The result is one main volume containing the reception and a double height space(library/ lounge) framing the beauty around. View Point Library/Relaxing warm space with fireplace and large openings towards the view. Sun Shelter The public spaces are created in between the buildings, giving life again to vescasa bassa. SUSTAINABLE PAVILLION
Sustainability is a critical subject to be taken care of in todays society. the pavillion exhibits futuristic design using renewable resources like bamboo, fast growing and easily transportable from nearby asian countries. For self sufficiency solar energy is integrated within the design showcasing 4 different types including a retractable roof one to protect from sandstorms.

MADRID NORTE IS A NEW GENERATION OF THE URBAN FABRIC OF THE CITY. IT IS IDENTIFIED AS A BUSINESS CENTER WITH DIFFERENT DAILY ACTIVITIES AND IN IT PLAZA CASTILLA CONTAINS A HIGH DENSITY OF CON-NECTIONS TO THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE CITY WITH A CENTER FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION TO GET ACCESS TO DIFFERENT PARTS OF THIS URBAN FABRIC. A POWERFUL DESIGN CAN CONSIST OF A SYSTEM THAT NOT ONLY JOINS ALL THE EXISTING FUNCTIONS (PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: TRAIN, UNDERGROUND METRO. BUS AND CAR SHARING). BUT ALSO CREATES AN ENJOYABLE PLACE FOR THE PEOPLE AROUND. WELCOME TO THE MACHINE, A NEW GUEST IN YOUR CITY, A JUNGLE THAT SATISFIES YOUR NEEDS AND BRING IT HOME TO YOU BY THE HELP OF FAST AND UPDATED TECHNOLOGY. THE PROJECT FITS AN INDUSTRIAL PLACE CLOSE TO PEOPLE AND COMMUNICATES WITH THEM. AFFECTING THE CITY FABRIC, IT IS DESIGNED TO BE AN EXOTIC SPACE WITH INDUSTRIAL, COMMERCIAL, PUBLIC FUNCTIONS BRINGING A NEW DAILY ACTIVITY FOR PEOPLE TO LIVE BETTER AND SATISFY THEIR NEEDS EASIER.
MASTER PLAN - SURROUNDINGS 16
AMAZON WAREHOUSE
The starting point is a pure rectangular shape of a standard warehouse(known for its functionality and efficiency. It can be easily organised.)
The Volume is elevated to create a sheltered space underneath and not to disrupt the circulation flow of the busy area.
The level around the metro area is lower demanding more light which is why sides of the volume are reduced. Located above the most frequented area makes it a perfect form of advertisment with the circulation of the goods on top.
In the Middle of an urban area a massive rectangular shape may not be the best solution considering the architectural quality. The middle part is removed for 3 reasons: light, space, public area
Public space is developed on a slope connecting metro area and ground floor to amazon which pushes people and invites them to visit the place.
Public space is spread on multiple levels with multiple functions where circulation and workflow is showcased making it more entertaining and enjoyable for visitors.

SUSTAINABLE LIV-INN - INNSBRUCK - AUSTRIA 20
Sustainable Addition The main idea of the project was an addition on a present building that would add to its sustainability. Choice of the building was based upon the function as well as a good level of radiation using several types of analysis from small to large scale. Due to its residential nature, the surrounding services and connections such as railway transport, river and city center were important too.

SOLAR RADIATION ANALYSIS 21
Sustainable Addition By the use of the software(Climate Consultant) analysis was made for winter and summer season using specific months for each, and according to results a % of comfortability level can be reached by using only passive solutions proposed by the software.
Winter Solutions: - Space heated by direct Sunlight - Slates surface Mass to absorb heat. - Proper Glazing Dimension for Enough Sunlight
Summer Solutions: - Stack Effect - Re emissive roof surface - Proper Shading
General Strategy:
-The present roof is already an extensive green roof. -The present roof is equipped with PV panels.
The structure is based on a grid of 6 x 4 (m)
- To make proper use of the present green roof, a Greenhouse is installed. - Solar panels removed to be relocated in the design.
- Housing units are added around the green house. - Circulation is added with elevator and stairs to provide connection between the 2 buildings

RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX Site Analysis:
User Profile: Design Concept UnderThe design the concept of “policentric started with a stepping hierarcy of spaces, the focus being more on the enclosure of the spaces and Milano, Cascina Merlata has the privacy, on the 3 well defines types of spaces: public, site semi-private and private. Gradually, we opened up the spaces, creating a flowy circulation around the site, which is more welcoming and allows people to acces the potential of becoming a centre for the whole area. We positioned the tower on the North side of the site, in order to not create shadow over the rest of the buildings. At first, it had an East-West orientation, but this changed aslike: we rotated it North-South for better community around it with functions
The proposed site is surrounded by a lower built density rate than the rest of the city. It is noticeable also that building typologies all around are clearly different ranging from industrial composition to planned districts, to historical Accessibility Main Routes/Public Transport ones.

personal statement
To whom it may concern, It is true that i already graduated from politecnico di milano with a masters degree in “architecture built environment - interiors but, my journey is far from over. I never failed to cease the opportunity to expand my knowledge further more, and this applies with a new chapter in my life which is my professional career, a big change full of challenges that i need to adapt myself to. the only constant is change wether it is from architecture to everything else, and this is why i embrace it, it is my doorstep to self development. Since i started learning architecture, the way i perceive the world has completely changed, i always keep a closer look on how things work from tiny appartments to giant urban landscapes, how does it interact fluidly with its context and for how long? Past, present and future have completely different needs. todays world is rapidly evolving with advancements in technology which means that flexibility needs to be taken in consideration in order to keep pace, however, this technological advancement is linked with an extremely important subject for me which is the crisis of climate change. We are in fact headed to collapse, a result from high carbon wastes, and architecture itself in my opinion, plays an important role in this matter through sustainable solutions, minimizing the negative environmental impact of buildings by efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, energy, and space development. My career is my priority in life, i am completely devoted to provide the best in order to make a change. Thank you for your consideration. albert karam
