What is the best decision you’ve ever made? In 2007, I was bored of my everyday gym routine and a friend of mine suggested I check out this thing called CrossFit. I searched it online and it had a “workout of the day,” and I tried it. That workout changed the entire direction of my life.

What is your guilty pleasure? I eat gummy bears after every workout. Shhh, don’t tell anyone.

Favorite thing about albert Lea: Definitely the people. Albert Lea is full of some amazing individuals who are compassionate, generous and hard-working. I am blessed to be able to interact and connect with people like this on a daily basis.

part in a bonspiel tourney at the Heather Curling Club in Mapleton. I wasn’t very good at it, but I had a lot of fun! What is the best decision you’ve ever made? Being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 8, my parents worked hard to make sure I stayed healthy and taught me the importance of never giving up and continuing to work hard at maintaining healthy blood sugar levels. I chose early on to do just that and I can proudly say I have been given excellent medical reports and perfect A1Cs for 15 years straight — and counting! What is your guilty pleasure?
