El Patio – the largest farm of Lanzarote, established in 1845 and turned into a museum nowadays – is a unique area on the island which recreates life in the countryside in the 19th century, with all of the elements of the popular architecture and rural living. El Patio includes two types of windmills, areas with ethnographic museums, a bodega, a small cactus garden and a garden with autochthonous flora, a chapel, a corral with animals, a milling stone for animal traction and a taproom, amongst others. Additionally, it maintains the largest piece of land with traditional way of cultivating and growing animals which exemplify their utility at the agrarian labour.
