Il brief di progetto consisteva nella realizzazione di un edificio residenziale a schiera, caratterizzato da un doppio affaccio, rispettivamente su strada e su un canale, e destinato ad un nucleo famigliare di quattro componenti con personalità e bisogni ben definiti. La trasparenza e la naturalezza dei rapporti tra i componenti di questa famiglia si traducono nel largo utilizzo del vetro, leggerezza di volumi e continuità spaziale. Piani fluidi, attraversati da lucernai, pozzi di luce e doppie altezze creano giochi di pieni e vuoti, di luci ed ombre. Il risultato è un ambiente misurato, dominato da un’atmosfera rilassante di equilibrio con la natura; i materiali sono semplici, le finiture grezze, materiche. I quattro elementi naturali sono presenti nell’architettura come valori aggiunti del progetto: un unico volume d’aria unisce i quattro piani dell’edificio; la terra è presente a diversi livelli sotto forma di giardini secchi, orti e spazi verdi; l’acqua, utilizzata come materiale di progettazione, infonde quiete e relax all’ingresso e nella zona benessere; il fuoco trova interpretazione come “focolare domestico” nei camini di soggiorno e cucina rivestiti in corten. -
The project brief was to design a row residential building, characterized by a facade on the street and a second one overlooking a canal; the house was intended for a family of four components with well defined personalities and needs. The transparency and naturalness of relationships between the components of this family are reflected in the wide use of glass, light volumes and spatial continuity. Fluid plans crossed by skylights, light wells and double heights create interesting effects of solids and voids, light and shadows. The result is a measured space, dominated by a relaxing atmosphere in balance with nature. The materials are simple, the surfaces’ finishes are rough, natural. The four elements are a metaphore of the project values: one volume of air unites the four-floors building, the land is present at several levels as green spaces, water is used as material for design, inducing calm and relaxation at the entrance and in the wellness area, the fire is interpreted as “hearth” fireplaces in the living room and in the kitchen covered with corten. -
