Summer Fun Boards ALB 065

This is a combination of all my old single-fin and twin-fin templates combined with new school bottom curves and rails. The result is a sensational hybrid that flies. Flat entry, deep vortex concave, razor edges and wet and dry finish.

Single concaves with contemporary rail shapes through the nose and middle, down and hard through the tail. From the tipping point, late ‘70s single-fins that love the kachang of the lip and a roundhouse cutty, ridden shorter and thicker. The stinger adds a breakpoint in the rail for tightening those arcs.

This is made for it to be easier to surf in not so friendly longboard waves ie hollow, fast beachies, reef and points. It has a pulled-in nose and tail so you can hook the rail into the wave face easy without catch. More rocker to fit into sucky waves with ease. Single to deep double with slight vee in fin area, full thruster set-up for performance.

This board is designed for the longboarder who wants to get on a short board. It has the same volume as a 8’0” mal so the transition from long to short is easy. In the tail it has chimed rails to make rail-to-rail transition easier because of the wide tail and single concave. Quad-fin set-up to keep drive and speed=a lot of fun.

Most eveyone has heard of the Mini Simmons by now, everyone’s doing a version. You’ve seen the rest, now come see the original. If you just wanna go fast then this is the board for you. More skateboard than surfboard, this thing will peel your eyeballs outta their sockets, it’s that fast. Satisfaction guaranteed. Available in whatever crazy colour schemes you can dream up.

A traditional Steve lis style fish with a modernised foil and bottom contour make this traditional favourite a real treat to ride. Long lines off the top and cutbacks for days. If you don’t have a fish in your quiver by now you really need to have a long, hard look at yourself and ask why not? Available in all the colours of the freaked-out rainbow.

The NR-3 is a shorter version of the NR-2 log. This is essentially a shrunk-down longboard, but doesn’t have to necessarily be ridden like one! Not meant to be only surfed from the tail, these boards love to be walked and you can even noseride them. Turns on a dime and is a perfect addition to a longboarder’s quiver, as the transition is quite easy from long to short with the NR-3. Available in lengths from 6’6” to 8’6”.

The ultimate mini-noserider! Surf the board from the nose or turn on a dime. Probably one of the fastest mid-length boards out there, now with controlled manoeuvrability. Now available on the shorter models with a 5-fin option. Ride it as either a quad, a single-fin, a thruster or a 2 + 1. These fin options really open the boards up to be ridden in a much wider variety of waves. Still available with the standard 2 + 1 fin set-up on longer models. Ride it as either a single-fin or a 2 + 1 and feel the stability and amazing paddling speed of the Scorpion! Available in lengths from 5’4” to 8’6”.

The Glider has become an increasingly large seller for Prime Boards. Especially among the older guys carrying a bit of weight who are still looking to go smaller. The board is 7’2” x 22” x 3”, which accommodates their needs perfectly. Being epoxy it paddles and catches waves like a longboard. We added a bit of extra width and lift in the nose area, a flattish rocker, single to double concave through to a swallow tail. The results are an effortless glide and trim, very fast and stable, with a touch of looseness making it very responsive and forgiving.

Super high-performance 8-footer, comes directly off our Pro Longboard curves and rockers. Surfs great in beach breaks and on the points, turns out of the tail on a dime, and can be trimmed and nose ridden. Is a great all-round mid-length longboard.

This user-friendly board suits any level of surfer. It’s an incredibly fun and fast board, perfect for small waves. The retro shape is popular for the surfer with an open mind. Generally ridden 6’ shorter than the standard short board, The Choad is one of our biggest sellers. This board can be adapted to either our PU or 201 EPS epoxy technology.

JR has reborn the single-fin with the ultimate mix of old and new school. With this design a nice blend of old school rocker and outlines with a modern rail and bottom shape it features slight entry vee to deep single double and a nice strong vee off the tail. This board has it all, plenty of down-the-line speed, hold and release when needed. This brand-new series is exclusively available at Local Knowledge surf shop, Nobbys Beach.

Ideal fun board. More volume further forward under chest for paddling ease and extra front-foot stability allows for more fun in the surf.

Retro-influenced shortboard. More volume further forward for ease of paddling and extra front-foot stability allows for more fun in the surf.

Issued standard with resin tint, gloss finish and hand-foiled custom keels, this little board not only looks amazing, but punches well above its weight when it comes to performance. Whether it’s a summer beachy or firing point break, the Mini Simmons will leave you with an ear-to-ear grin!

An EPS foam core performance fish that features stringerless flex and memory return. Can turn on a dime and drive when required. The 2 1/2” thickness of the board under the chest area makes this board a great wave-catcher. It’s flat from nose to centre with a double scoop concave at the swallow tail.

Lengths range between 5’11” to 6’8”. The “f1-11” fish is highly manoeuvrable. Plan shape is wider and comes in a swallow tail with strategy-positioned flyers. The design has been tested by our competition team for proven performance and works well. It is fast and skatey, it allows you to do lightning-fast slashes. It is slightly thicker for easier paddling. This little gem puts excitement back into your surfing.

A mini mal design that incorporates modern shaped rails. This model is very popular with the girls as well. This design incorporates a subtle concave in the nose, running through to trim section with tail lift for added manoeuvrability. A user-friendly funboard that allows you to throw it around.

Up to four laminated stringers for extra strength, giving greater speed and manoeuvrability. High-density slick bottom for greater glide across the water surface and great manoeuvrability. Generous rocker prevents nose-diving as well as providing great manoeuvrability.

Noosa Malibu 8’6” Revolution Series. Thinnest, lightest, best softboard in the world. The revolutionary technology dramatically improves board stiffness and prevents unwanted flexing when paddling and riding on the wave face. Handshaped rails and tail are honed for speed and power in driving turns. Features also include: Rocker designed for performance. Low-impact XPE foam deck. High-density slick bottom. Three performance fins.

7ft and 8ft Revolution malibu’s speed and manoeuvrability similar to fibreglass boards. These boards really do perform. Another new addition, inspired by two plus one hulls and midlengths, but with more of a focus on being user friendly and functional in all types of conditions. Hull entry flowing to a single to V double concave. FCS, future or glassed-on side bites and box ceter with a beautiful true ams l flex. Speed, glide and plenty of desire to cutback.

This guy is a new addition to the basketful of tricks, a performance-orientated quad with plenty of squirt, a whole lot of ability at generating speed and getting up to and beyond the lip. Single concave throughout, FCS, future of glassed-on fins. We recommend glassing on the lighter side for performance, but the final say is always up to you.
