Pub Cup capers in Cardiff

The latest BT Sport Pub Cup tournament took place at the House of Sport, Cardiff, on July 10-11, where clubs battled it out for a place at the semis at Manchester City’s Etihad complex, taking place as we went to press. A full report of the sensational semis will appear in the next issue.

The Hope Tavern proved victorious in Cardiff, with its team from Leamington Hibernian Sunday Men ’ s Reserves, stepping up to the plate.

Heroics from the Heart of Oak Inn saw them shoot down The Jolly Anglers in a penalty shoot out. They went on to face Park Rangers FC.

Newquay

’ s Royal British Legion brought out the party tricks as they searched for a semi-final spot. A last minute winner put The Windsor through to the semi-finals at the expense of the Rose & Crown.

Congratulations to the Park Hotel’ s team – they ’ ve made it to through to Manchester City for the

semis. Georgie and Alex Cridland proved an effective twin strike for the Llanwern Bull.

The Union ’ s team, Cradley Town DC Ladies, wins the Shield.

Current ladies champs the Lichfield Ladies FC, representing The Old Horns, are off to Manchester City for the semi-finals. The Three Horseshoes are heading to Manchester and looking forward to the semis.

Open to clubs as well as pubs, Taibach Rugby Club fielded Port Talbot Ladies FC for an exciting match.
