EDITORIAL MATTERS In January of 1980 I participated in two cryonic suspensions conducted at Cryovita Laboratories. That was almost six years ago, and at the time I was President of Soma, Inc, an Indiana cryonics company (now merged with Cryovita) with no thoughts of moving to Los Angeles. Clearly, a lot has happened since then. I bring this up by way of explanation as to why it has taken us so long to write these case histories up. The story is one of delay after delay and even a few (minor) catastrophes. It took us nearly a year after the suspensions were completed just to sort everything out and get the data analyzed. We didn't have the equipment ourselves at the time, so we had to rely on others in the
