Alda João

Born in Viana do Castelo, Portugal, where lived and studied until 18 years old. Got her Graduation in Architecture in 2011, by Faculty of Architecture and Arts of Lusíada do Porto University, finishing her Master in July 2014. As personal interests could be included drawing, painting, classical and blues music and photography. Recently has being developing an increasing interest in analogue photography, believing that mechanical and chemical process comprehension is as important to Photography, as the designing process and modeling is for Architecture. Her work – a selection of Casa da Música do Porto photo series – was part of the exhibition ‘Lens get Closer’, a partnership with ‘Closer, Closer’, a project from Lisbon Architecture Triennale, in September 2013.
