From there, a small ight of gently sloping stairs leads up to the most reserved area of the bedrooms, or descends to the living area to contemplate the landscape in front of the replace. The interior courtyards incorporate light, transparencies, reections and vegetationintotherooms.

Two unique materials: concrete and glass, were used to solve the integration with the landscape and to respond to the formal, structural, functional, nishing and maintenance issues. The structural solution adopted was to cover each volume with a slab that rests on inverted beams that are intertwined working together throughout the house. From these beams, the slabs extend into large cantilevers. The roofs between beams were designed asgreenterracestoincreasethethermalinsulation, astheyreceivesunduringmostofthe day.

To further enhance the oasis theme, the design could include lush greenery such as potted palms, ferns, or succulents. A feature wall with textured stone, mimicking sandstone or desert rock formations, can also add an interesting element to the space. In addition to the physical design elements, incorporating ambient lighting that mimics the natural lighting of an oasis can enhance the atmosphere. Warm, soft lighting can create a sense of calmness and relaxation.

Concept Design 2022
Collaboration with Emre Arolat Architecture
Over the past decades, the Mediterranean has awakened interest and passion, uplifting its name to the level of idea and concept. When speaking of the Mediterranean, unless referring to a single, specic aspect, one doesn’t automatically think of the sea or the territory in an isolated way but convenes -this keyword is most appropriate- the very qualities of an area rather than the land alone. Qualities that dene an idea, a manner, a world. This idea may seem easy to allure but it is not so obvious to dene: A vast environment nourished and conveyed by a rich society, thriving with our perceptions of the Mediterranean.

The site has a gentle slope from the sea level up to the northern edge. The total run of slope is about 170m. This slope may create an important constraint on many urban design aspects such as accessibility and spatial pattern. However this slope provides many positive potentials, such as vista, privacy and other ecological benets. The urban design idea has been shaped according to the various site sections which dene the density, height and landscape decisions.
Another access strategy has been thought for pedestrians. The pedestrian movement from the upper levels down to the beach has been considered via green corridors. These are not only for pedestrian access but also passive landscape zones creating voids between dwellings. These corridors have many different potentials in terms of ecological and landscape design which will be explained further on the next pages.

A bachelor apartment with dark features and low light would have a sleek and minimalist design that creates a cozy and intimate atmosphere. The color scheme would be dominated by dark hues, such as black, dark grey, and deep brown, which would add depth and drama to the space. The lighting would be kept dim, using warm, low wattage bulbs or ambient lighting to create a moody and relaxing atmosphere. The apartment's design would be simple and efcient, making the most of the available space while keeping the focus on the dark color scheme. The furnishings would be minimal, with clean lines and simple shapes, and there would be little to no clutterorextraneousdecoration.
