Now in it’s second year following the success of 2016 sales. ABC surfboards combine real surfing with affordability in a way that few surfboard brands do. The surfboard shapes in the ABC board range run from the classic international inspired shapes an affordable Magic Carpet and the Mash King which is a classic based fun machine. The ABC boards are crafted from quality PU foam and glass and the finish is as clean as we’ve seen. These shapes really work in UK conditions and offer a very sensible alternative to the top end imported boards which are beyond the pocket of many surfers. The ABC boards work really well as a first time shorter board for an improving beginner stepping off a mini mal surfboard or longboard but also as a summer/small wave step down for a better surfer. Big Bird has been designed to catch waves easily and offer the rider a stable platform to hone their skills. A proven template with a longboard nose and fuller tail but with 2 to 3 feet chopped out of the middle. The full tail allows the Big Bird to change direction smoothly, the wide nose allows the board to paddle easily and catch waves much earlier than boards of a similar length. The rocker is relatively flat with a flip in the nose to prevent pearling on late take-offs. This wide and fairly short surfboard planes with ease over flat sections thanks to the concave bottom and makes the most of less than perfect conditions.
