MASTER THESIS PROJECT 2020

13
The outcome of the thesis focuses on the main problem discovered through the research phase: communication and lack of collaboration between different groups and companies (from public/private sector, society and academia) . Therefore it includes a methodology framework for collaboration as well as a method for delimiting the key stakeholders who are the target group for this framework.
6
F
The thesis aimed to investigate the invisible context of Lövgärdet (current situation within the stakeholders with its possibilities and limitations) and therefore, hidden cause of this situation. The data, collected through literature reviews and social interactions (interviews, meetings, workshops) was used as a base for defining the design need, but also as a tool for facilitating the learning outcome of stakeholders during the meetings.

MAIN THESIS QUESTION
CONTEXT Urban context has two inseparable elements - visible and invisible part - which extensively affect each other. The visible part is tangible and salient in nature and well identified by architects via its exploration by our senses, the invisible part requires efforts to observe, evaluate and hence understand. The ‘why’ behind the visible context quality is usually fundamental for its full understanding. This ‘why’ consists of politics, driving forces & values among stakeholders, cross-disciplinary design process, economy and design methods.

RESEARCH The methodology was based on cause and effect relationship and its focus was to explore qualitatively the power relations in Lövgärdet and setting a goal for this thesis based on obtained knowledge. During the process of collecting data, the
opinion or will of the author is not a driving force for the thesis topic choice. The main methods for gathering the data were interviews, meetings and literature reviews.

COLLABORATION CONTRUCTION. ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE.
The project result consists of four elements. First, it defines the basic structure of cooperation with roles that should be assigned in different groups. Secondly, it suggests a stakeholder configuration that can meet these needs and is based on their ability to complement each other. The next section explains the general structure of a circular process divided into phases, steps and checkpoints. Finally, the last step explains the steps in detail and provides a guide to their implementation.

THE CABLE CAR PROJECT THREE STOPS - ONE STREET ACADEMIC INDIVIDUAL PROJECT 2019 In connection with the need for a better connection of the northern and southern parts of the Gothenburg, city plan to build a cable car that will be an additional mean of transport over the Gota älv river. The planned cable car has 3 stops on the Hisingen side (Lindholmen, Västra Ramberget, and Wiselgrensplatsen) and one stop on cities southern side - Järntorget. The project deals with giving continuity to the newly created street and integrating it with the existing structure. As in the masterplan, the goal is to introduce new values with respect to the existing valuable elements.
CHALLENGES Cable car stations, towers and lines have certain regulations, which limits building possibilities in the area. Landfrom: big land height differences, which afftects possibilities of development and also is impeding the creation of a single continious street conencting these three stations Irregular builded area and public space: preceived public space is not reagular and there is visible mix of uses and dispersion of buildings (no one street frontage, no active frontages, often one side of street is green)
GOALS Solve the connections: connect northern area with souther through making new street and overcome barrier of highway and trainway; make movement hierarchy (pedestrians, bicycles, cars, public transport) Create green connections: connecting public space to green area of Keillers Park; creating green street from Wieselgrensplatsen to Lindholmen Create regular public space: regulation of public space, providing space for services, making active frontages ating regulated street sections
PROJECT AIM: A CONTINUOUS STREET WITH 4 QUALITIES

RESIDENTIAL BUILDING FOR ACTIVE SENIORS IN MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX IN WARSAW’S WILANÓW DISTRICT
BECHELOR THESIS PROJECT 2018
The aim of the project was to create a housing estate that would create friendly conditions for the development of community relations and provide a place for intergenerational integration as well as comfortable living conditions for the elderly. The main intention was to draw attention to the problem of an aging society and the lack of community connections in new housing estates. The detailed study concerns a residential building located in the main area of the housing estate.
