COMMERCIAL PROPERTY Remodeling in San Francisco 2018 Renovation of a commercial property located in South Park. Responsibilities: measuring the space, elaboration of 2D drawings. Request for quotacion, schedule of the project, coordination of the works, supervision, and progress reports. Challenge: coordinate different installations at the same time to hurry the progress of the project.
OPI NAIL BAR – LA GRAN VIA Retail Remodeling 2014 Position: Designer. Responsibilities: Field measurements, conceptualization of the design, 2D drawings, 3D presentations and rendering. The design of this nail retail has to make feel confortable to the costumers, providing a hint of privacy in each cubicule, even if it was an open space. Challenge: The intervention had to be smooth and preserve most of the furniture.
RESTAURANT ANDALUCIA & OLE Design and Construction 2014 The Spanish restaurant was expanding the business. The new branch needed to keep the elegant style that characterizes the original location. Responsibilities: Measuring the space, 2D drawings, 3D presentations, and rendering. Collaboration with the design. Contacting vendors to request quotes, elaboration of budget and scheduling the project. Supervising progress on site and attending the client’s requests along the construction. Challenge: Follow the regulations established by the mall such as an afterhours schedule. Work in collaboration with the client to design the kitchen and locate the appliances.
PAPAYA HOTEL Remodeling in El Tunco Beach 2013 Papaya hotel is one of the first hotels in the turistic area of El Tunco. The owner requested a renovation of the space. The proposal should protect the walls to keep them clean. The proposal focused on the use of pallets, refurbishing the floor, replacing furniture, new light fixtures, and painting. Responsibilities: Design the remodeling proposal, 2D drawings, 3D presentations and renders. Challenge: The intervention should be smooth and would not imply any major construction work, however the new look should be noticeable.

OPI NAIL BAR – MULTIPLAZA Design and Construction 2012 Position: Jr. Designer. Responsibilities: taking field measurements, part of the team to conceptualize the design, elaboration of sketches to request quotes, budgeting, and scheduling. Furthermore, I was in a shared responsibility to supervise the progress of the project, coordinating with the mall administration the access. Once the project was completed, I was in charge to coordinate any additional work that the client requested. Challenge: Any disruptive noise had to be scheduled during the weekend or afterhours, making a demanding schedule of work. Furthermore, maintain a sober design with a hint of modern and playful dÊcor.
SIGMA Q - AVANTE Interior Design 2012 Design of the Corporate Headquarters of Sigma Q, a multi-packaging provider leader in America. Responsabilities: Collaboration with the interior design proposal, ellaboration of 2D drawings, 3D presentations and renders. Contacting vendors to request quotes, coordinate installations and collaborate in supervising the progress of the project. Challenge: this project had a tight schedule and most of the noisy work had to be coordinated afterhours.
LINEA Y FIGURA BEAUTY SALON Remodeling Proposal 2011 The current image of the beauty salon was in need of a bright and fresh look that welcomes their long lasting and new customers. Responsibilities: 2D drawings, 3D presentations and rendering. Challenge: The creative source of lighting has been crucial to keep the space full of light.
ROMERO BISHOP MEMORIAL Urban Proposal to intervene a public space 2011 This Memorial intended to be part of the revitalization of the historic center of San Salvador. Responsibilities: research through digital platforms, related bibliography and on site to gather information that supports the hypothesis that the historic center needed a space for gathering and interrelation that encourage cultural and social events to improve the quality of the public space. Furthermore, I was part of the team that proposed the design for the intervention and also elaborated the 2D drawings and 3D presentations. Challenge: present a suitable proposal for public space that responds to the real needs of the space and the people who uses it to fulfill its purpose.
LOW INCOME HOUSING Design Proposal 2010 Dwelling project located in the periphery of the city. Each building is compounded by two independent units, the singularity that characterizes this dwelling is the steep terrain where is placed. The access of the unit upstairs is by the trail up at the top of the hill and the unit downstairs can be accessed from the street. Responsibilities: site analysis, design proposal, architectural and technical drawings, 3D presentations and renders. Challenge: The goal of the design was to promote sustainability and low construcion cost, therefore I proposed the use of bamboo, this material was common in the surroundings.
REVITALIZATION OF THE HISTORIC CENTER Proposal for urban intervention 2010 The renovation of the Historic Center of San Salvador has been on the Major’s agenda since 1992 but any intervention has been minimal. This proposal propose to intervene a neuralgic street, home of an architectural relic that stars important religious events in the city. Currently, the church lacks of an atrium for cultural and social activities. Additionally, illegal vendors have taken over most of the streets, making difficult even to walk. This situation conforms a chaotic scenario and makes it difficult to perform any social event in its surroundings. Responsibilities: theory research of the history of this space, analysis of the current situation, conceptual and physical proposal. In addition, 2D architectural and technical drawings, 3D presentations, and rendering. Challenge: the proposal should not be a tabula rasa and it needed to include the current occupants, such as the street vendors.
