Moomins’ problem
I.C XX Settembre- Catania Erasmus plus project “ Getting There On Your Own”
Let’s have fun with Snork math’ problems
N.1
Snork’s exceptionally talented at solving problems. He would like to challenge you. You have put all digits from 1 to 9 in the circles.
Remember the sums of the numbers connected by a
segment must always be equal to 10. Which number in particular did you write in the small circle at the top?
N.2 Write a number in each empty shape to complete the chain.
N.3
Snork gave a number problem to Little My. She told her to pick a number, add 10 to it, double that sum, andthen subtract5. Little My’s answer was 39. What number did Snork pick?
N.4
Moominmamma planted 5 ower beds with roses and tulips. If there are 5 roses and 9 tulips in each ower bed, how many more tulips are there?
Solution n.1

To find the solution you need to start at the end of the chain and reverse the mathematical operator
Solution n.3 The number is 12 Solution n.4 9 x 5 – 5 x 5 = 45 – 25 = 20 There are 20 more tulips that roses.
