ABSTRACT A stone shaped sea terminal that forms a whole together with the city and the sea. Morphologically, the building complex is formed by two cores, linked by a raised path. The shape of the terminal is suggested by the little, white, flat stones of the Adriatic beaches. With the effect of rocks placed on a low water level, buildings partly absorbed in concrete, produces waves from where trees grow. In this way, the natural element becomes artificial and is proposed in a larger scale, where the infrastructure can cut, subtract and model, making it accessible to cars and pedestrians, on different paths that sometimes find promiscuity areas.

ABSTRACT A village for artists in the centre of Senigallia. The site, placed between the city centre and the sea front, represents a huge empty space. A serious closer-look defined by the station and two disused preexistences (a building for offices and an hotel) determines neglected, area, destined to a potentially widespread necrosis. The project tries to exploit latent potentialities of the site raising it as core of the city. Design strategy conceives the hotel as composed by modular elements which, once exploded and scatter, produces a regulated mess and open a new way to the sea. As the only symmetrical component in the project, the hotel becomes a new landmark and a monument. Public open spaces confirm and deny the design strategy, being bidimensional and orderly counterpart of the same extruded modules : a supersurface that configures the growth of the project.

ABSTRACT Our analysis starts from a general framing of the project area, Bagnoli. This one represents a filter zone between Pozzuoli and the Naples city center. In the Bagnoli area we find two main link axes, defined by the railway line and the tangential road of Naples. With the focus on the area of interest chosen for the theme, we highlight the accesses that cross and serve the considered area. From this analysis we have been able to outline and bring out out areas from the urban fabric. Furthermore, we pointed out the presence of the big avenue that serves and connects them. We thought that the best way to create aggregation could be a public sharing space that crosses the entire area. The park develops on two levels: At level 0, the project covers the whole area, preserving the transversal viability. At level 1, it covers only the areas where a sudden and significant change of quota is observed.

ABSTRACT The “Reef project was started in order to requalify and recreate the section between Senigallia and Marzocca, especially the camping area. The main issue we had to face and solve was the coastal erosion. To solve this problem we evaluated all the traditional methods, such as artificial reefs and breakwater barriers, we noticed that these systems were efficent for the purpose, but they caused the same issue in the neighboring areas, thus we considered to change the approach and use a new system. The linearity of the shoreline was replaced with a curved shape that supports the wave motion currents, to avoid excessive deposit of material. The carriage infrastructure has a different trend. The cycle line follows the curvilinear motion of the coast and divides the beach from the green system; on the other hand, the pedestrian line separates the project area from north to south, following the linear/broken trend that finds discontinuity in the areas of interest. These last accompany the visitor throughout the project area creating relax, leisure and service zone.

1.PROJECT AREA DIVISIONCURRENT STATE
STATIC Deeply related to both his parking area( which has no other porpuse than to allow cars to park) and his unexploited green area.
DISPERSION The main places in the city centre are far away from square and park which remain just a crossing place.
NEW “FOCUS” The project goal is to give back their central role in the city to the square and the park.
ABSTRACT The Sha.P.E. project aims to re-develop the city square, “lido” and “ex ente-fiera”, now known as “varco sul mare” in Civitanova M. These areas define an interruption in the thick plot of the city, which has a linear North-South development, placing itself as the only void, East-West, and generating a strong connection between the “ex- borgo marinaro” and the sea; the central position they have, however, is not very exploited. The project aims to recuperate to the area its centrality that lost its efficienty over the years, becoming a place of passage and parking for vehicles. The study focuses on the reconnection of three spaces, at programmatic and formal level, through the use of vegetation and materials, the reuse of pre-existing elements and the insertion of art theme. The porpuse is to realize an element that moves and characterizes the city. UNIONSha.P.E.

terrace library library market
ABSTRACT The project aim to revisit ‘il mercato delle erbe di Ancona’ inserting a library. We asked ourselves what could be the best way to make those two different fit: the market, noisy place and the library, place of silent. We wanted to keep the building’s memory so we kept the old facade, that cover the market’s main floor and we added a new level on the top which will be the library’s area and the terrace. We managed to divide the two entrances keeping the two functions separeted. The connection is just optical, thanks to those entrances protruding and not which goes around the building.
