MAGICAL FRIDAY
The waiting is over, and the quiet Chattahoochee Hills are not so quiet anymore. After months of preparation and indescribable anticipation, the USA has finally had its TomorrowWorld cherry popped. Tens of thousands of TomorrowWorld goers began their adventure at The Gathering yesterday, warming up with a pre-celebration that was nothing short of wild. The fans that have traveled near and far from around the world are finally getting to witness the legendary fairy tale that is TomorrowLand. The largest production to blossom out of the EDM culture, TomorrowLand just closed its ninth chapter two months ago in Belgium. Meanwhile, across the Big Pond, the 1st chapter of TomorrowWorld has officially commenced. Dreamville greeted campers yesterday with a magical home-away-fromhome that exceeded the expectations of its namesake. After pitching tents and chilling beers, campers were promptly pulled into The Gathering when beats began blazing around 2pm. The Dreamville lineup presented by CounterPoint featured EDM greats like Morgan Page and Le Castle Vania, who brought high-energy beats to get ravers in gear for a non-stop adventure. Tomorrowland regulars including DJ Prinz and The Oddword also did not disappoint with their driving dance music. Closing out the night was Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike who pushed The Gathering into utter ectasy right after their Tomorrowland-buddy Yves V had the crowd feeling pure bliss. The Gathering was the ultimate cliffhanger, as fans anticipate with even more excitement the experience of TomorrowWorld in all of its glory.

A place where dozens of music fans can call home at TomorrowWorld Dreamville, city of grass fields and canvas roofs, welcomed you for the first time at, what is safe to say, the most beautiful festival ground in the United States. With 25,000 inhabitants, it’s on its way to becoming a city with everything you need and more! Even the sun entered through the Dreamville gates right on time. Still, business around the camping has quickly become that cozy, small-town feeling as tent pitchers begin to set up what they will call home for the next few days. Campers have started setting up, shaking hands and exchanging stories with new neighbors who will quickly become friends over the course of their TomorrowWorld experience. Music enthusiasts from dozens of countries cracked open a beer with their friends, new and old, and hung out to watch the new arrivals pour in with everyone in awe of what will be the best experience of their lives. Survival Guide Here are some tips for your ultimate TomorrowWorld experience, so you can party all weekend long in this enjoyable, sunkissed weather. • We know some of you brought your skinny jeans, but we promise that loose fitting clothes are all the rave at TomorrowWorld. Keep it tight, and you’ll sweat all right!
Cop your TomorrowWorld Swag!
• Would you rather be swatting bugs away, scratching and dealing with terrible sunburn? We didn’t think so. Use suncreen and bug spray.
Swag it out during the festival, and after the festival in the only way you can in TomorrowWorld… with official merchandise. Grab your TomorrowWorld gear at the Merchandise station near the Main Stage. (Look for the M on the festival map)
• Is the girl/guy next to you really sweaty? Be kind and give them the space they need to enjoy themselves in all of their sweaty glory.

The Belgian Beer Café In Belgium, beer is more than just ‘a beer.’ In Belgium, beer is almost a religion, celebrating the finest taste of pure liquid gold. Belgians look at beer as one of the most noble ingredients at the heart of a delicious gourmand cuisine meal. Furthermore, it’s an exquisite and tasty excuse to get together amongst friends and loved ones to sip, share and savor the finest brews. Of course, TomorrowWorld needed to take part in the oldest and finest of Belgian traditions and therefore installed The Belgian Beer Café, an authentic experience of Belgian hospitality: delicious dishes and treats, paired with a perfectly poured connoisseur’s selection of the best Belgian beers. This is something you don’t want to miss out on. Whether it’s a classic like Stella Artois, Leffe Blonde/Brune or Duvel, or a more special draft like Affligem or Ommegang Rare Vos, we can say but one thing: Santé!
CREPES Brussels Crêpes is a Belgian owned and operated Crêperie that is just as much an amazing and great Belgian export product as TomorrowWorld itself. Brussels Crêpes will literally bring an extra Belgian flavor to the TMW crowd and give people the chance to enjoy delicious, authentic Belgian crêpes and waffles. For TomorrowWorld they’ve added two all-time favorite savory items: the Spinach & Cheese Crêpe and the Pizza Waffle! They’re flying in 3 Belgian chefs to assure you of the levels of quality and service their home country is used to. Their batter is made fresh every morning with all-natural ingredients and flavorings. Through some special “extra” ingredients and innovative preparation techniques Brussels Crepes has developed a unique recipe that delivers fluffier, tastier pancakes. Their Giant Belgian waffles are still made the same way their grandmas did, using real Belgian beer as an ingredient in the batter!

Touch down Atlanta... Good morning Dreamville. Wassup, how you all feeling? All messed I hope? So who is ready for the real thing then? Not sure how the weather has been but it looks decent enough for the weekend. Happy days. I have only ever been to America once before for a short 3 months back in ‘92, so it is great to be back. People from all over the world make that trip to Boom in Belgium so I am pretty sure there will be a few more that made the trip here, especially if they could not get a ticket for Tomorrowland. Ladies & Gentlemen, welcome to TomorrowWorld... Amazingly, as you are all aware, the Mainstage from 2012’s Tomorrowland is here in Atlanta. It really is something to behold. Easily the biggest stage I have ever seen and when in full display with the book opening it is incredible. Wherever you are now, reading this, do your very best to be there when the fairy tale begins, it will make so much sense. By the way – I celebrated a Birthday on Monday so I will be having my party at the Main with some friends, hope you can stay and make it a special one! Looking forward to hearing Gina Star & Brillz for the first time and The Brothers Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike closing the day is set to be legendary. Not forgetting the Dutch motley crew on throughout the day, Friday has all the ingredients to really take you to higher plains! It’s a spiritual thing, a soul thing, a body thing. Let’s be as one and make this a day to go down in the American history of music. Stay safe, be nice and have a wonderful day! Cheers!

Some campers may have chosen to rest after setting up their home for the next three days in DreamVille. But many found themselves instantly drawn in to the hypnotizing music, fantastical stage and laser beam lights of the Gathering. They were hooked and there was no turning back. So to the party, many of the DreamVillers went. The Gathering was a spectacle that will not soon be forgotten. Partygoers were greeted with a show of lights and fountains and… fire breathing fish?! (Yes…that really happened!) Fans flooded in wearing crazy costumes and glow sticks galore as they savored their first taste of the otherworldly experience to come. The bass alone was powerful enough to send shivers up the spine, instantly prompting partygoers to surrender and let the music take control of their minds and their feet. The only reason for pausing was to pinch oneself. It’s not a dream. This is real life.

SEBASTIAN INGROSSO FOCUS ON MAGICAL FRIDAY Main Stage 09:00 - 10:30
Sebastian Ingrosso just finished touring the world as one-third of Swedish House Mafia, marking the end of an era. Ingrosso, Axwell and Steve Angello, three childhood friends, both propelled and rode a wave that brought the progressive house sound not only to festivals and clubs around the world, but to worldwide pop radio.
sounds, but I don’t know who that is.” The third dimension, then, is the people on the radio and at the gas station. It’s pretty cool, actually. Some people hate it when their vocals or tracks bubble up and are no longer underground, but I see it as three different dimensions. As SHM, you made a song with Absolut, and you’ve now made a song for Disney with Axwell. Where would you draw the line, in terms of working with corporate or commercial partners? I’ve been thinking about this so much. If you took a guy on the street, and his dream is to be a DJ or producer, he probably likes Luciano or Loco Dice or some underground guys, but he gets an opportunity to make a song for Disney, I’d bet you $1,000,000 that he will take it. I have kids, and Ax has kids, and it’s a cool thing for our kids, to be like, “My dad made a song for this cartoon movie.” That’s actually why we did it.
Swedish House Mafia’s breakup was in some ways a perfect Internet story: The signature group in a genre that’s exploded with particular popularity in the younger, Twitter-happy demographic of music fans had announced it was calling it quits just a year after performing the first-ever all-DJ show at Madison Square Garden, leaving behind radio hits like “Don’t You Worry Child” and “Save the World.” The heartbreak in the EDM world was palpable, though neither Ingrosso nor bandmates Steve Angello and Axwell seemed particularly upset about the split. “I got a lot of inspiration because it’s fun now,” Ingrosso says. “I mean, it was fun all the time, but it’s a new chapter. It’s exciting.” Ingrosso, who jumped immediately into the publicity campaign for the vocal mix of “Reload,” his breakout hit with Tommy Trash and John Martin, said he hasn’t spent much time reflecting after Swedish House Mafia’s “One Last Tour.” But going out on top has its perks. Ingrosso released a music video for “Reload” that has racked up 2 million views in one week, and he and Axwell recorded and released a song, “Roar,” on the soundtrack for “Monsters University.”
We hear a lot of Coldplay influences in “Reload” and “Don’t You Worry Child.” I know they’re obviously great to remix, but do Chris Martin’s vocals inspire your work at all? John came - and not just the name from a rock band before. I don’t remember the name of the band, actually, but he came from that rock thing. He didn’t know anything about dance music when I met him. He just said, “I like the energy,” and it’s an amazing mix to take someone from rock into dance, especially when you have melodies, so they can sing.
“I see it as three different dimensions”
How do you feel Swedish House Mafia helped -- or hurt -- your individual brand? I was in Swedish House Mafia! [laughs] I think it was a positive thing. I got so many of Steve’s fans, and he got so many of mine, because we were playing with each other. I think if I have about 500,000 Twitter followers and Swedish House Mafia has a million, I don’t think there’s anyone who follows me and not Swedish House Mafia. But yeah, I think we gained from it.
What’s it like to have a song like “Reload,” which blows up as an instrumental, gets new life as a festival vocal track, gets a video and then impacts radio? From now on, I’m going to do the vocals from the beginning, so that people don’t get confused. But dance music is three-dimensional, if you compare it to other music genres. You have a little community of blogs and people who follow you and go to your underground shows and track your IDs. The second dimension is people who would say, “I like how this

GINA STAR
Main Stage 12:30
Gina Star is starting to live up to her name, as the young DJ/producer from Dallas is rapidly becoming the brand new mash-up superstar. Starting off in 2006, her own special style of big room uplifting house very quickly caught the attention and support of legend/connoisseur Pete Tong. Her Cirez D & Sunscreem mash up appealed to the masses and instantly
propelled her into the limelight. Nevertheless, 2013 seems to be shaping up to be her biggest year yet. The Miami Buzz Chart featured her song Midnight while Cr2 released 1000 Years. Thomas Gold, SIRIUS XM and NERVO granted her immediate radio support while her remix package will feature a trap remix by BARE, rising star of the genre. More? Electric Love
got Gina working together with Black Eyed Peas producer Poet and features vocals by Golden Phoenix, aka Natasha & Daniel Bedingfield’s sister. Get ready for some jacked-up beats as she whips up a frenzy of cracking bleeps and vocal chops that are destined to quake up every dance-floor.

Did someone call for a superhuman fusion of hyper drive housestep and ghetto jack trancebass that makes you feel like you’re floating in stratospheric new heights as you discover a spectrum of divine hybrid house styles? Well, then Laidback Luke is the man that will do the trick. This Dutch dynamo will make you spin and sweat as he electrifies your body with supercharged high voltage house beats. A relentless performer and more than productive producer he contributed to shaping contemporary house music and experimented towards musical innovation with remixes for Daft Punk, Madonna, Kanye and Jay-Z as well as standing out with his own tracks like Hypnotize, Show Me Love (with Steve Angello &Robin S), Natural Disaster (with Example) and MORE (with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike). It’s been 15 years since he released his first track but Luke manages to keep it super fresh, always keeping a close ear to the underground as well as cruising through superstar galaxies.
What do you get when four hugely creative masterminds from Paris get a band together with the sole mission to make electro, dubstep, drumstep and drum & bass collide into the sonic superblaster of pure, raw energy that characterizes pretty much every release on Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak label? Dirtyphonics are your answer. Often compared to the likes of Chase & Status and DJ Fresh their merge of heavy bass music with grimy energetic rock is one thing that can’t be pinned down. After a sold out tour of over 40 North American shows and a victory march through Europe’s biggest summer festivals, they’re never been more ready to hit TomorrowWorld with their wild genre-breaking music. ‘Whatever we do, we keep it dirty,’ is Dirtyphonics’ war cry, so you better hold on tight and brace yourselves to get funked up by the fattest bass and the most ponderous of drums: Dirtyphonics are exactly what their name suggests. Let the games begin!
Welcoming 2013’s summer as only the 21st in his life, it’s fair to say North Carolina-born Porter Robinson still has the biggest part of his journey in front of him. Nevertheless Robinson’s resume states almost ten years of experience. He started producing at age 13 by emulating the sounds that, to him, sounded like nothing else in the world – what actually got him started was the music of the Japanese Dance Revolution video game. He started experimenting with electronic instruments, plug-ins and digital audio software which established him as a prominent representative for the digital audio workstation FL Studio that was created by the Belgian software company Image-Line. It’s fair to say that Robinson is about to become the leading figure in innovative and pioneering digital production of music. Regardless of his young age he accomplished more than most in a lifetime and while his talent starts to blossom more every day, the world will very soon be his and his alone.

Brennan HEart Q-dance 06:00 It’s ‘Just As Easy’ to ‘Lose My Mind’ because that’s ‘The Sacrifice’ that Dutch DJ/producer Brennan Hart will demand of you, me, her and everyone around us jumping and pounding the festival grounds towards an earthquake. Starting off in 2002 as one half of the duo Brennan & Heart (with DJ Thera) he is now known as one of the leading artists in hardstyle. Together with Dov Elkabas he started the Scantraxx label and got to compose the official anthem for the Defqon.1 festival
in 2007. As a man of eclectic taste, operating under several other aliases, you might bump into him in other music genres yet it’s unmistakably his remixes for other hardstyle artists like Headhunterz, Technoboy and The Prophet that earned him the biggest praise. In August he released the documentary Evolution of Style which exhibits his passion for this unique music through an exclusive peek into his private life, life on the road and his love for the fans.
Green Lantern Dim Mak 04:00 As far as Green Lantern’s concerned, there’s no such things as superstars, genres or musical boundaries. There are only good tracks and bad tracks and Green Lantern has that special talent to fill his set lists with only the awesome stuff. He’s been the tour DJ for legends like Jay-Z, Nas and Eminem but instead of hanging back to enjoy stardom he preferred to keep pushing towards the continuous replenishing and refreshment of his sets featuring the most cutting edge songs and sounds. He
wants to make noise, simple as that. The one and only thing on his mind is creating a moment wherein people drift into unforgettable aural experiences. Or in his own metaphoric words: “I’ve never been one to be in this music game just to sit and eat off the table. I want to contribute and bring a dish to dinner.” If burning brand new music is the kind of heat you can’t stand, then you better stay out of Green Lantern’s kitchen!
Ferry Corsten Full On 11:30 There aren’t many music genres that can count on the immense passion and enthusiasm from its fans like trance. Around the globe ardent trance enthusiasts thrive on a belief that excludes every reason to listen to anything else. Trance is their religion and Ferry Corsten – together with the likes of Armin van Buuren and Paul van Dyk – is their priest. Early 2013 he announced both an album and a tour with his German back2back buddy Markus Schulz. The named their project New
World Punx and debuted this brand new EDM supergroup at Madison Square Garden during A State Of Trance 600 where their very first single Romper was premiered. TomorrowWorld however sees Corsten going back in on his own while hosting his very own stage featuring his Ibiza-concept Full On. On his own? Not really, Aly & Fila, John O’Callaghan and Sied van Riel are just a few of the invitees. Ferry Corsten’s Full On promises you an experience of excitement and anticipation!
Yolanda Be Cool Dim Mak ‘Up all night’ Stage 02:30 From their native Sydney to the clubs of Ibiza, and from old school hip hop to techno, house and everything in between: this Australian trio’s music has just the same amounts of thrill and humor as that scene from Tarantino’s movie Pulp Fiction, where they got their name from (at one point, in the restaurant, Samuel L. Jackson yells ‘Yolanda, be cool!’ to the female robber). Yet, Australia is one place they haven’t been all that much for the last couple of years as they got to call the big-
gest clubs and festivals as well as the inside of the studio their home away from home. But Aussies will be Aussies, so when they’re not on stage, on the road or in the studio, chances are you’ll find them at the beach catching the most surfalicious of waves. Pumping adrenaline through vast focus: their personalities sure match the music they make! Yolanda, Be Cool, but don’t forget to rock your socks off!
