Bjarne Egedesø, the son of Rasmus Peter Egedesø becomes CEO. Founding of Everton Marina, selling yacht boats.

Expanding with new factory in Tarup approx. 2.200 m2, to start own production of bicycles

ABOUT Mission and vision Our mission is to help our retailers improve their cash flow, lower their stocks locally and to increase their stock rotations. We achieve this through our modern warehouse, which holds products to service the retailers throughout the season. Huge pre-bookings does nothing but destroy our retailers inventories, stress cash flow and lower the rotation; and especially with high-end quality brands, someone must consider notable write offs at the end of the season. Beside that we will strive to offer the most desirable brands at all time, by marketing them locally in cooperation with our retailers.

ABOUT Supply Chain Organisation Our organisation has a clear and distinguished separation of front- and back office. The back office consists of Finance and book accountancy, Supply Chain organization, in-house sales, service and stock operations. The front office is divided in 2 departments for DK and Nordics / Baltic States, were we currently have 9 external sales reps in the market. The Esales reps OrganisaOonsplan gedesø A/S are the company’s extended arm, which will service your needs and work as your service partner for sales trainee sessions locally and event participations. Seminars We are using our 900m2 showroom and 130 m2 cafe to run seminars not only for cycling clubs but also for companies who more and more pays interests in cycling. Among others we hosted the Easton Bell Sports international sales seminar, hosting 90 people across the world for 4 days here.

DEPARTMENTS DTP & Teamwear department ALÉ Teamwear is this departments finest and most important job. ALÉ is a brand of high-end customized teamwear, 100% made in Italy, designed by our designers. Teamwear is an individual business unit within our company, consisting of two skilled graphic designers. As well as doing the layouts/designs, they are also responsible for all contact with the customers and suppliers. Besides our two graphic designers, we also have one person dedicated for selling teamwear and catalog garments for teams, stores and companies. This also includes participating in events, external exhibitions or present at selected races. This department is also responsible for a variety of graphics related tasks, like creating marketing material or updating our website.

DEPARTMENTS Supply Chain Management The Supply Chain Management department at Bjarne Egedesø A/S includes the purchasing department, the warehouse management and the service department and the goal of having these 3 departments working closely together, is to optimize the management of upstream and downstream relationships with suppliers and customers and to deliver superior customer value at less cost to the supply chain as a whole.
Purchasing department The purchasing department consists of 3 skilled supply chain planners, who all have a long experience within the bicycle field. The company is representing 24 individual agencies and each supply chain planner is dedicated to a number of suppliers, enabling him to develop into our in-house product specialist of the specific articles delivered by each of his “own” suppliers. Besides that the main tasks of each planner is to take part in selecting and deciding the content of new product programs, calculating, preparing exhibitions, promotions, flyers, dealer catalogues, consumer catalogues etc. Off course also to monitor the development of sales on “own” article groups and subsequently place purchasing orders, follow up on shipments, and all the general tasks included in general logistics. The main success factor of the purchasing department is that we bring the right products to the market on time and at the right prices, and it is our goal that the companys delivery performance towards our customers should never be less than 97% measured on orders coming in on daily basis and measured on article number level.

DEPARTMENTS Warehouse The warehouse is located in fully modern buildings with an area of 4.000 square meters and a height of 10 meters and the daily order picking is performed by the means of electric - and reach trucks. The logistics of the warehouse is operated by the Top-of the art warehouse management system “ASTRO� being used worldwide, enabling us to pick all orders in a most efficient way. The system is being upgraded twice a year to ensure that it is always operating after the latest new standards. Our workforce consists of 6 experienced warehouse employees, who are led by a skilled co-working team leader. It is our goal that all goods received from our suppliers will be ready to be picked for customer orders within 48 hours and our goal is that all orders received from customers before 4:00 PM, will be picked and shipped same day.

DEPARTMENTS Service department The service department is taking care of all matters related to technical guidance, education and returned and claimed goods. The department consists of 2 skilled technicians, who is primarily taking care of hotline service towards our customers and serving customers concerning actual claims.
The technicians are when needed being helped by one person from the warehouse team to secure that returned or claimed goods will be taken care of on daily basis. Besides that the department is being assisted by one person from the sales department, who will step forward when help is needed to serve our customers sufficiently. It is our goal that all inquiries will be handled within 24 hours.

DEPARTMENTS Sales department Sales department is “divided” into 2 sections: external and internal sales. The external sales is represented by reps in Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, visiting and selling from our 24 brands. We have dedicated reps for Cannondale bikes and for Bikers Best – which is a concept of 22 brands. All reps are responsible for their own district, taking care of the customers by visiting and also for serving the customers when they come to our showroom, at least 2 times a year. Furthermore, the reps are also responsible for doing seminars and courses for the customers’ staff. Internally we have 3 people taking care of: calls and orders from customers, enquiry from customers and end-consumers (from our sales and information mail) and web orders. Our sales staff are involved in requirements from the market regarding new items, trends, competitor analysis or so. This enables us to provide and deliver the right assortment into the market.

BIKERS BEST Bikers Best The Bikers Best is a voluntary sales network belonging of visionary shops that works closely with us in terms of sales and marketing of the quality brands we represent throughout these shops across the Nordic region. Not only do we support and promote the shops locally, to enhance sales, but we provide stock deliveries and service from our headquarter towards the market. The Bikers Best shops are annually invited for the Bikers Best Backstage, which is an event we run in cooperation with our suppliers, where small workshops are arranged and hands on product presentations carried out. Beside the workshops we run sales seminars for shop employees and workshop personals in cooperation with Navitas sales coaching.
Pinarello assembly We are assembling Pinarello bikes, paying attention to the smallest details. Bikes are 100% custom fitted, from sizes by 1 cm, choice of groupsets, pedal length, gear ratios, wheels, tires, handlebar and stem configurations etc.. All assembled with the finest touch of perfectionism to serve the demanding customers’ expectations.

BRANDS Customer service first We will continuously strive to enhance the service towards the market. We strongly believe that the job is not done by taking an order, rather than provide aftermarket service to each customer fast and rapid. We educate our customers to decide upon consumer claims on the spot, this increase efficiency and decrease workloads and worries for the consumers and our customers.
Event participations We believe that the platform for consumers to decide upon purchase have moved from the shops to events, where products can be seen and tested. This is why we heavily participate in the local events across the entire region. The exact annually events are listed on our website.

Brand selections We carefully monitor our brands, in order to provide our customers not only the best brands, but also the right product portfolio, where product and brands support each other, rather than conflicting. We evaluate supplier’s performance on service and supply chain as well as looking at future perspectives for the brands to be chosen. So a lot of factors play a role in order to set the right portfolio and service our Bikers Best customers accordingly. Most of our brands we represent in all countries, where local sales organizations carry out the work.
