The car, people, and architecture are the love triangle that never was. For the past century, the automobile has infested Houston and transformed the city fabric, drastically impacting the daily lives of citizens. This proposal rejects the automobile, allowing for total humanized interaction between all levels of architecture.

Inspired by the likes of Yona Friedman for his construct on social housing, this city takes on the form of the minimalistic “Japanese Ma” concept, focusing on the movement within the complex, rather than the city itself. This approach redefines social housing with a style relative to how the user can interact with others and the building itself.

Hi-Low Def Megastructure The megastructure is explored using hi ďŹ delity scripting techniques, creating a balance of scalelessness and resolution. The object-orietned technology used to script allowed for a structured manipulation of data and networks, constructing modular units that together create the megastructure. The objective, though documented as a complete structure, was to speculate the fragment of realism with the human interaction of algorithm, materiality, lo def manipulation of the unit, and the lost sense of building technology.
