Crash Pad is a multi-purpose room drawing upon the idea of the 19th century salon as a setting for cultural and political conversations. It is formed by an arrangement of ancient, folkloric Greek rugs together with a set of columns, representing two conflicting systems that modernized Greece in the 19th century: the Europeanized Greek diaspora educated in Germany, France, and England, and the peasant guerrilla fighters under general Theodoros Kolokotronis. Andreas Angelidakis also references the first bankruptcy in the history of modern Greece in 1893, which lead to a series of failed governments and economic crises. Contribution: concept, design, 2d/3d drawings, model 3d printing, exhibition set up

Inspired by Jean Baudrillard’s 1968 book The System of Objects, the exhibition looks at Dakis Joannou’s collections and the vessel within which they are held as a chaotic and misleading path challenging the audience’s perception of art at the same time that information is offered to them. Contribution: concept, design, 2d/3d drawings, model making, exhibition set up

It comprises of lightweight modules which borrow the language of the white wall and configure the space, form partitions, connections and displayed surfaces. Contribution: concept, design, 2d/3d drawings, model making, exhibition set up

DOMESTIC ATED MOUNTAIN GLORIA MARIA GALLERY, MILAN, 2012
11
Domesticated Mountain proposes the suburban home as the traditional vehicle for an architectural manifesto. Positioning the home in an expanded notion of suburbia, i.e. The internet, the suburban home is the accumulation of all the things we do online, and so it needs to be redefined from scratch. The inhabitants of the house go through evolutionary stages. First they bring all the stuff from their previous house, then they continuously purchase more stuff on the internet, but gradually become so saturated with browsing and buying that they forget what they bought. Boxes of bargains arrive at the house but nobody remembers buying them, because they have already discovered another site with better bargains, faster browsing, cheaper shipping. Contribution: 2D/3D drawings, video animation, photo editing

S CROLLING T H ROUG H T H E C IT Y STUDENT THESIS, UNIVERSITY OF PATRAS, 2012
13
The thesis is about speed and change in architecture, examining the way we perceive of it in real life and through the Internet. Using Pireos street in Athens and the Tumblr website as examples, it searches the similarities between movement at a high speed and the endless scrolling on Tumblr, the billboard and the .jpeg, the ageing of a building and the loss of a Tumblr post in time. It addresses issues of living in the contemporary city, surfing on the Internet, taking in huge amounts of information while having a short attention span. Following a temporal process, it attempts an exchange between the two locations and later on, a possible merge into a new type of environment, a continuous blur of real and virtual information.
