Folding Bike Instructions
Folding Instructions The bike as it should look when unfolded Seat height can be adjusted with quick release latch on seat post Bag is secured to the rear rack, it contains helmet, cable lock and lights
Step 1 Press down the circular stopper on the handlepost latch
Step 2 Pull the handlepost latch out to unlock the handlepost
Step 3 Swing the handlepost into the folded position: to the left side of the frame and flush against the front wheel Ensure the wheel remains facing forwards
Step 4 Push the pedals towards the frame to fold them in
Step 5 Pull the frame latch to unlock the frame
Step 6 When folding the frame ensure that the left pedal crank is pushed towards the ground
Step 7 Swing the front half of the frame back and turn the front wheel to the right This will allow the front and back wheels to fit parallel
Step 8 Front and back wheel are now in the parallel position
Step 9 Take the bag off the rear rack (it is secured with clips and velcro) This will enable you to lower the seat post
Step 10 Open the quick release latch and push the seat down Close the quick release latch when the seat post is lowered to secure it in position
Ready to carry! There are no latches to hold the bike in the folded position Be careful when carrying or moving the bike in the folded position
Unfolding Instructions The bike as it should look when folded
Step 1 Open the quick release latch and pull the seat post up Close the quick release latch when in the correct position
Step 2 Unfold the frame
Step 3 Open the frame latch so that the two halfs of the frame can be fitted together Ensure the the latch closes, locking the frame in place
Step 4 Swing the handlepost up to its vertical position
Step 5 Close the handlepost latch to secure the handlepost in postition
Step 6 Secure the bag to the rear rack with the velcro and clips
Step 7 Pull the pedals into position
Ready to cycle! Before each ride, check to make sure the frame latch and handlepost latch are secure Also check your brakes and the pressure of the tyres. You may need to pump the tyres before you ride For more information, please email : bikepool@imperial.ac.uk
