hat do you look for in a W Business Partner? Someone that is committed, highly motivated and won't take no for an answer until they hit their goal. Someone who comes in and is really invested in the business. They are always looking for ways to up-skill and develop themselves, whether it’s through calls, networking or educating themselves - not just in work but outside of the office too.

Why did you decide to promote Gary, Mike and Sam? What made them stand out to you?

These guys had great communication skills, and I saw a lot of potential in them. They were never scared of hard work, they were always the first in the office and last to leave. For me those are the main ingredients required to succeed in a business like this - work hard, graft and stay focused.

When did you promote them and what do their promotions involve?

They were all promoted to Assistant Ownership last year. Now they spend half of their week working in sales, and the other half in the office learning about recruitment and events booking. This is to make sure that they are fully prepared when they open their offices in Liverpool, Birmingham and Sheffield.
