NUTRABIND
ÂŽ
FINE-FREE, DURABLE PELLETS
Gelatin origin NUTRABIND is a high viscosity pellet binder of gelatin origin. Gelatin is a water-soluble protein that is produced by partial hydrolysis of collagen and is commonly used as a gelling agent. It is generally considered as a safe material and is classified as a foodstuff.
Efficiency of Pelleting
High viscosity NUTRABIND has one of the highest viscosities among commercially available binders in the market today. Using a viscometer at 61°C, NUTRABIND viscosity was measured at 19 mpas. This is more than 12 times higher than the viscosity of Lignosulfonates.
Nutritional properties NUTRABIND has high protein content and has high digestibility of over 70%. In contrast, other binders such as Lignosulfonates interfere with the digestion of cell wall polysaccharides by acting as a physical barrier to microbial enzymes.
Producing pellets of good physical quality at the optimum ratio of output to energy consumption by the press. This does not necessarily mean running the press at the lowest possible amps or at the maximum possible output, but achieving the most economical combination of the two factors while still maintaining pellet quality. It can be defined as the amount of salable pelleted product in kilograms per kilowatt-hour of electricity used.
