1A. " Catalyst of Expression " Manifesto: Kinetic Art
KINETIC ART
DYNAMIQUE
Manifesto
As the manifesto Dynamique, intends to show the smooth movement created by the lake flow and also implying how the site is alive with different kinetic movement going on. Kinetic energy happens in daily life and it can be as small as the waterflow.
Kinetic movement demonstrates the law of nature as human beings are not the only things that are moving. Nature can be evolving too . However, Kinetic art from what it means does not simply mean art that moves. From my point of view kinetic arts is the beginning of the modern art era . An art style that relates to our daily lives implying things that are alive around us. Every living thing moves, each movement can be related to different circumstances such as expression of senses( happy, sad and moody).

CASE STUDY THE SHIVER HOUSE Designed by : NEON ( Jan 2022 May 2022 )
General Analysis + Concept
The Shiver House is a radical reinvention of the common Finnish Hut (mökki) The project is a kinetic "animal-like" structure which moves and adapts in response to surrounding natural forces. Shiver House is an exploration into the idea that architecture can be used as a means to create a closer emotional link between its inhabitants and the natural world it sits within In addition, the project explores the idea that architecture can be made to seem "alive" with the intention that this will engender a deeper and longer lasting emotional relationship between people and the structures they inhabit
Response
Construction and materials The house employs the use of 600 kinetic counter weighted shingles which respond to the changing weather conditions of the site..
Wind, rain and snow cause the shingles to rotate into a closed position giving the structure the temporary appearance and function of a shelter
The project is constructed using a simple timber structure which supports a number of rows of tensioned steel wire. These steel wires are treated as batons and are designed to hold the counterweighted shingles
SITE & CONCEPT
Site
Chosen considering the view and human flow It is located in be
Concept developed from kinetic art implying how architecture
Structural steel frame is being proposed due to the form and site of the pavilion

The Children's Musuem of Pittsburgh
Programmes
The Children Museum of Pittsburgh provides innovative and inclusive museum experiences that inspire kindness, joy, creativity and curiosity for all learners. This case study provide innovation in to relating it with design studio creative hub, intention of sharing thoughts and knowledge transfer, on what art is and being able to express themselves with the programs provided in any form of actions/ movement
Crawl and climb Make Shop Open Space
CASE STUDY
The building is a children's museum which program that emerged from “ warm and welcoming” facility that should be open to the community and provide opportunities for life long learning. Architect use old Chinese proverb of giving kids " roots and wings" as a metaphor to represent the design of this facility
The case study demonstrate simple construction method can also be visually pleasing. More importantly , the system can be modified to fit any other projects. The tubular structural frame is supported by a number of support points and each point is Embedded in a continuous concrete slab
CONSTRUCTION
Creative Facade
Detail A: Space Frame - Triodetic System
Detail C: Torsional Bracing
Fully braced square modules to provide torsional stiffness
Detail B: Wall & Space Frame Connection
supported by a number of support points and each point is embedded in a continuous concrete beam
Detail 4: Dynamic Wall Motion Systems
Rod Mount system is designed to facilitate ease of repair and maintenance operations. Individual flappers can be easily replaced by manually snapping them on and off the mounting bushings.
Exploration on flappers
Dyanamic wall motion systems can be modified according the different projects to best suits the project requirement
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Each movement in live is unique as it is. Adapts in respond to the surrounding from nature exposed in welcoming what is given by the nature
