Connect the modem to your internet port of your NETGEAR router and connect the computer to any of the four LAN ports available with you.

Next, open your web browser and type IP address of router's IP given as either http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter.

Click on the “Next” button. After that router will save the settings.

Confirm the “IP Address” field and check if you have a valid IP address. The valid IP address should not be left blank neither should be filled with zeroes such as 0.0.0.0
