About Bear Press was established as Bear Press publishing in 2016. These are the publishing brand guidelines. The Bear Press logo must never be altered or recreated without the prior permission of Bear Press.

2

Logo

The Bear should always remain in the same position and should always face to the viewer’s right. (If applied to a transparent surface, the Bear should face right according to the direction from which the majority of people approach.)

3

Whenever the ‘Bear Press’ text appears with the logo it should always be in STIXGeneral Bold, upper and lower case, and should always be centred beneath the logo.

For legibility reasons, a minimum size at which the logo may be reproduced is recommended, the logo should never be reproduced for print any smaller than 6.5mm / 0.25” high.

Minimum size When reproducing our logo, be conscious of its size and legibility. Use common sense — a signature that is too small ceases to serve any useful communication function. Generally, our logo should never appear less than 3/8 tall in printed materials, and no less than 36px tall in the digital realm.

Always use the black and white version of the logo when printing. The Bear should always remain black and white when when placed over a coloured background or placed over an image.

Room to breathe. To protect the clarity and visuals of our logo, it has a clear space that must be maintained in all creative mediums.

Do not: Alter the marks in any way. Redesign, redraw, animate, modify, distort, or alter the proportions of the marks. Surround the marks with—or place in the foreground over—a pattern or design. Rotate or render the marks three-dimensionally. Add words, images, or any other new elements to the marks. Replace the approved typeface with any other typeface. Enclose the marks in a shape or combine it with other design elements or effects. Modify the size or position relationship of any element within the marks. Add additional copy to the marks. 14

Partner logo

When using the Bear Press logo alongside other logos: Always ensure that all logos appear equal in stature. Always place the Bear logo on the right hand side of its partner logo (so the Bear isn’t facing the other logo). Never place the partner logo closer than the minimum clear space to the Bear logo.
