About Us

Standards Manuel Purpose

Z Tailors brings the age-old tradition of tailoring into the modern day. We are an on-demand personal tailoring service that gives everyone an opportunity to look their best with the a tap of a smartphone or click of a mouse. George Zimmer founded Z Tailors on this very mission. Tailoring is a craft that George, with over 40 years of clothing experience, has always believed to be an integral part of style and fashion. We recognize tailors for the artisans they are. Our tailors are selected based on their abilities and passion for the craft.

This standards manual defines and outlines how to use all identifying elements pertaining to Z Tailors, including its logo, colors, typefaces, and stationary. It is critical to follow these rules and to use the authorized document templates in order to convey the traits and personality of Z Tailors as a brand. Please treat this guide not only as the authority on what is and is not permissible, but as strictly proprietary and confidential information.

Clothes that fit well make you look great, and when you look good, you feel good. It’s as simple as that.

Logo Description

Inspiration

The Z Tailors logo was designed to give off a modern and distinguished look that would appeal to today’s well-dressed gentlemen. Much like our tailoring, careful attention to detail was paid to ensure pleasing proportions and proper balance. The Z is set in Didot, a classic serif typeface. The practice of tailoring dates back hundreds of years, just like Didot, which was created in 1811. The lines within the Z represent the stitching techniques used by our tailors. There are many instances where stitching runs parallel on suits. Gotham, a modern typeface, was selected for ‘Tailors’ to show that Z Tailors is a combination of new and old. Gotham is also the primary typeface for Z Tailors, further integrating the logo with other applications. It is overlaid on top of the Z, reminiscent of logo designs seen on antique sewing machines.
