According to the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the top songs of the week were Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito,” Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like,” DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One,” Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.,” and Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You.” Despite being the top songs of the current week, each track has been consistently placing near the top of the chart for weeks or even months on end.

Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” (featuring Justin Bieber) held its position as the top song of the week for the fourth week in a row, first cracking the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart on the week of May 20th. The track, which also features pop artist Justin Bieber, gained attention for its rhythmic nature and use of both English and Spanish lyrics. The track is a remix from the original “Despacito,” which debuted in January and did not originally feature Bieber and the English verse in which he sings. Taking the second slot among the top songs of the week is “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars. The track is from his third studio album, 24K Magic, and the song first began to gain popularity after Mars performed it at the 2017 Grammy Awards. “That’s what I Like” has held its #2 position for four consecutive weeks, reaching the chart-topping spot five weeks prior. DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One” (which also featured Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper, and Lil Wayne) comes in at #3 for the top songs of the week, first permeating the top five on the chart during the week of May 20th, when it reached the top slot. ‘I’m The One” is the second single from Khaled’s upcoming album Grateful, which is expected for release on June 23rd on Epic Records. Kendrick Lamar’s “HUMBLE.” takes the fourth slot among the top songs of the week. The track is from Lamar’s most recent album, DAMN., which was released in April of this year. “HUMBLE.” has been among Billboard Hot 100’s top five songs for eight consecutive weeks, first charting at #2 during the week of April 22nd. Taking the final slot in Billboard Hot 100’s top five songs of the week is Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You.” “Shape of You” was among the first tracks to be released from Sheeran’s third studio album, Divide, which was released on Asylum Records UK. “Shape of You” has maintained a spot within the top five since the beginning of the year, holding the #1 slot for several consecutive weeks in early spring.
