The annual membership subscription is calculated using the member company’s annual turnover as reported at Companies House. The membership structure has been designed to be flat and transparent. Once a company has been accepted into membership and its application approved by the ALFED Board, the member can elect to join any number of sector groups that exist within ALFED. Membership of a sector group will be by a separate subscription (Board membership includes membership of any sector group).

The World of Aluminium is an intermediate level technical course specifically designed for production engineers, process and quality technicians, stockholders, customer facing sales/marketing persons and material/product purchasing individuals. This course is aimed at individuals who require a solid basic
understanding to confidently engage with the aluminium industry and its products.
The course creates a solid basic understanding of aluminium, aluminium metallurgy, heat treatment and metal forming processes. It assumes no prior knowledge of metallurgy and is specifically tailored to the industry sector. Technical elements are balanced with insights into the history of aluminium, its growth as the strategic metal of society, its sustainability properties and illustration of products, to create a holistic broad rounded knowledge.

First and foremost, our aim is to process and supply cut plate and bar across the UK within 24 – 48 hours of order.
Due to recent significant investments, our cutting facilities now cater for up to 1100mm thick plate and 24-inch (620mm) diameter bar.
