Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are not found in nor used in the alloying of aluminium, nor in the production or Aluminium and are not a byproduct of mining, smelting, recycling or in/or subsequent working of aluminium

• Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a large, complex group of synthetic chemicals of more than 12,000 synthetic chemicals used in a wide variety of common applications, in packaging, the linings of fast-food boxes and non-stick cookware, fire-fighting foams and to make clothes and carpets resistant to stains. • PFAS molecules have a chain of linked carbon and fluorine atoms as the carbon-fluorine bond is one of the strongest, these chemicals do not degrade easily in the environment hence they are termed “Forever Chemicals” • PFAS are increasingly detected as environmental pollutants and some are linked to negative effects on human health and have been found as 0333 240 contaminates in groundwater, surface water and soil
