To Mom and Dad, for keeping our “pearly whites pearly and white, long before we ever knew the difference.
Hello there!
I am one of Timothy’s teeth, and I would like to tell you a story... A story about Timothy, and his GERMS.
1
2
Germs are evil creatures.
They live in dirty, ugly or messy places: between toes on stinky feet, on unwashed hands, and in the trash.
3
In this story, germs even live in the mouth of an unfortunate little boy named Timothy.
4
Timothy was a good boy.
He used his manners, ate his vegetables, and even shared his favourite toys with his sister.

Timothy was a good boy, but he had one very, VERY bad habit. He would not brush his teeth!
6
Every morning before school, Timothy’s Dad would say, “Timothy, it’s time to brush your teeth!” Every morning before school, Timothy would go into the bathroom, but Timothy did NOT brush his teeth.
7
Instead, Timothy had lots of amazing adventures. He imagined flying to outer space or swimming in the ocean. When Timothy had finished adventuring, he simply left for the school bus.
8
One night when Timothy was tucked in bed, and fast asleep, he had a terrible dream. In the dream, Timothy saw all sorts of creatures: big ones, small ones, fuzzy ones, and slimy ones. They were different shapes, colours, and sizes, but they had a few things in common: they were dirty, ugly, messy and they were stinky. Worst of all, they each turned out to be EVIL!

Timothy woke with a start when his Mom knocked on his door in the morning. He told her about his awful dream. When he had finished his story, Timothy’s Mom explained that germs live in

everyone’s mouth, so brushing your teeth often is extremely important. “Brushing your teeth gets rid of germs, just like washing your hands,” she told him.

Now, Timothy understood how important it was to brush his teeth.
This time, when his Dad asked him to go to the bathroom and brush his teeth...
