MS Design Group is a design and architecture firm based in Houston, TX. For 30+ years in business, we’ve led the way in Workplace, Hospitality, Healthcare, and K-12 Design. With 18 years of experience; Alice is a published Interior Designer who works closely with her team in order to ensure the vision of her clients. She approaches the design of interior environments with energy and passion for excellence that resonates with her clients. Alice will work closely with all team members, however coordination of the Interior design, Architectural, and structural will be her main focus. Special attention will be given to the boards, submittal process, and various reports required during the project.

After designing two new floors for LiveRamp’s San Francisco headquarters in the iconic Standard Oil Building, O+A came back at LiveRamp’s request to design a third. While the two previous floors were conceived to mirror each other in the way they juxtaposed highly finished contemporary design with the rawness of the building’s original infrastructure, the third reached for a larger continuity, bringing all three floors together in a single narrative of unity, clarity and vitality.

Scope of Project

Mercedez-Benz is a German Luxury commercial vehicle automative band. Mercedes Benz is looking to open a new high tech marketing office located in Houston,TX. The new office seats on roughly 3,400 sq ft, and occupies the first two levels of a large business campus district in Houston, TX.

-Working collaboratively with the Owner, Architect, 3D Renderer, Project Super and Estimator on conceptual, schematic, design development and production activities to develop, manage, monitor and record the technical aspects of the interior design phase of all Design/Build projects.

- Developing a timeline for the interior design process.

Space Program

A. RECEPTION / WAITING AREA

- This working reception station greets visitors and Controls visitors traffic, and provides Secretarial services. There are 3 secretarial positions at this location.

- Total work surface must be at least 20 sq. ft, accommodate a flat screen monitor, keyboard tray, and a small desktop printer, and provide at least one box/file drawer pedestal.

- A transaction counter is required for arriving visitors

- Lateral files, 18 lin. Ft., must be within easy reach.

- Waiting area should include seating for 12, plus coat closet or storage.

- There should be wall-mounted display racks for company liter

B. EQUIPMENT ROOM

- Central control and equipment storage for all of the presentation and conference spaces, located adjacent to the reception station

- provide 90 to 100 sq. ft. room with lockable door

C. PRESENTATION ROOM

- A conventional lecture space with comfortable fixed seating for 24 people

- A speaker’s lectern or a panelists’ table and chairs for four, at the front of the room

- A motorized ceiling recessed projection screen, a ceiling mounted projector

- A marker board surface

- A closet for stacking chairs and tables.

Projects in certain states cost more per square foot to construct than others.

Variation is mainly the result of higher labor and materials costs in certain regions of the country. This map provides a guideline of the media cost per square foot for construction in specific states. Projects completed in Massachusetts, New York, California, and the District of Columbia typically have higher costs per square foot due to higher labor rates. And, states with larger rural populations tend to have lower costs per square foot. The isolation states of Hawaii and Alaska must account for transportation of materials, inflating their costs, and making them the areas with the highest cost per square foot.
