SHOPPING MALL COMPREHENSIVE SERVICE SYSTEM DESIGN

The project based on research on consumer groups, discovering different shopping behaviors’ characteristics and demands, screening out system’s basic functions and carrying out feedback survey, that program built out functional framework, prototype system and interface design. It was a kind of mall’s comprehensive service system, integrating shopping navigation and guide and other people-oriented services, with a mobile terminal as its carrier. That experience made me realize two basic points concerning design.

CONTENTS :

This project has two parts, one is the analysis of a new industry model which includes the characteristics of "new craft industry" and the innovation of product and service. The other is the product and service system design according to the analysis. It is an open project actually, before designing, we have to redefinition the new mode by collecting, analysing cases, and summarizing the abstract concept of the mode. After that is the design process, user research, field research, propose a design concept, and product development, all the steps are needed.This open topic needs so much design thinking; while it is rigorous as well, researches are an important part.

Team members combine their experience and understanding of the new craft industry to make a comprehensive brainstorming. The results of brainstorming has been to make additions, classification, consolidation, made into two relatively complete MindMap on the industrial and handicraft design intervention.

CASE COLLECTION AND SORTING SLOW GROW encourages participatory design by engaging the consumer through the journey of creating their own printed textile garment. Working with design concepts of Slow design and Emotional durable design SLOW GROW creates a user friendly system of design using bespoke digital printing and local resources. Mary’s SweetPea Shirt follows the journey of grower to wearer. Mary is passionate about her Fulham allotment growing flowers and produce is important to her wellbeing and happiness. Mary’s creativity is translated into a printed design with final garment. Mary is central to the design process of her own SweetPea shirt. PRODUCT INTRODUCTION The main part was made by natural pine, and these modules were printed by digital printing technology, which is composed of a variety of materials (leather, silk fabric, knitting, etc.) wrapping foam inner core. Child furniture design with modularity provides many colorful or mosaic pattern (transformed from children’s drawing) printed as modules. These models play a role as the cushion for chairs or benches. This design encourages children to create their own furniture by playing that kind of jigsaw puzzle. Many colorful modules cannot only improve the perception and cognition of color and shape, but also cultivate the creativity.
