1.Introduction
Rogoredo District: This area is located south east of Milan and mainly is known as a peripheral in Milan which deals with some problems such as drug dealing and abandon. That is why this area raised curiosity to analyse it and get to know the perception of residents of this place.
“What is a city, but the people; true the people are the city

2. Landuse Mapping A High proportion of the areas is allocated to the residential and industrial and commercial buildings and the second group give a special feature to this area. Another common usage in this area is public service. These industrial buildings have an effect on the nature of the neighbourhood and also the feeling of the residents about this area.
3.Methodology. Basic Overview of the Area Reconnaissance Survey Psyco Analysis of the Area.
Local Survey by interview.
Conclusion For this report we interviewed 10 people, at first following them along the street and checking their behavior, if alone, if coupled, if inside of a crowd, to understand their approach with the space, then we stopped them to ask questions about the area they just passed.

4. Survey Pathway and survey perception
The path chosen goes from Rogoredo railway station to the Corvetto metro station. From the perception of the interviewed people it is possible to notice as the main landmarks listed are the accesses to the various metro stations, that become the main center of flows, especially Corvetto and Rogoredo. The main element perceived as a barrier or as a limit, that splits the area in two is the elevated highway, which strongly impeaches the permeability of the area. The main real change of perception occurs when we go from the residential to the industrial tissue It’s relevant the perception of the main issues of this area, which we report here through the report of the surveys but that will further explain with the next analysis based on our observation. The population in this area complains a vast state of decay and criminality, especially theft and drug dealing through out the path (mostly shop owners), bringing fear in roaming in the area during the evening and night, but with a main focus on the two extremes of the path, Corvetto and Rogoredo. Especially the last one has a direct connection with the boschetto, infamous for drug dealing and prostitution. This one is often the first comment we receive when we start our survey in Rogoredo, where people shows the end of via cassinis and via arialdo as an unpassable limit if moving by feet.

5. Psychoanalysis of the users in the area 5.1. Aromatic and acoustic mapping:
The senses are the one which influence our experience of the external world. Acoustic and aromatic mapping shapes the localized experience in the space. We observe that the areas near to the corvetto station, has more pleasant aroma, in comparison to the bland and greasy aroma of the Industrial area

5.2. Interpersonal distances mapping:
Active and Passive Facades Map
The Study of proxemics reveal a quite a lot about how the people feel about locality, it is the study of the kinesics which show the preferential hierarchy of the spaces by the people in the area. These involuntary actions, when observed would reveal the idea of different concepts of safety, usability, fascination, recreation, which would not only create an identity to the area, but also change the way the people perceive certain elements when replicated in elsewhere and used by the same users. In this map we observe that the how interpersonal distances changes over the walkway, along with how the defence mechanisms are seen in the area. We observe that the users of the area , when they exit or enter the Rogoredo station , due to its Industrial land use and passive facades( with grills and screens) , people feel very uncomfortable to walk near the buildings, and they walk nearer to the road, which is used by the high moving transit. As we move away from the station towards the rotary of the corvetto, the area marked in the orange, which has facades, which are occupied with offices/automobile showrooms, due to which people like walking in the area, but can’t interact with these facades. Also due to the metro and bus stop in the vicinity, these spaces have a very formal interaction space. As we approach the corvetto, the ground floor is occupied by the commercial spaces. Along with this the area is in near proximity of multi modal transit corridors which make this area much more liveable. Also, the design in the area is very aesthetic, creating spaces in the area.

5.3. Points where people feel safe to interact and avoid making eye contact or verbal contact:
Social intractability Map
The defence mechanisms are very much seen due to the sense of danger and perceived sense of danger. This also dependent on the age groups, gender, lighting and time. The areas which are perceived dangerous in the area is the area which is bit away from the Rogoredo station. The sense of safety is seen in flux in the area. The places which are most unsafe , is near the industrial area , away from the station.

6. Conclusion:
Conclusive map
In the conclusion , we can say that from the surveys and the psyco analysis of the area , that area is quite unsafe , partly due to the fact that the area has abandoned places in the near vicinity , along with the socially disruptive elements of drug- dealing and theft in the area in the NIGHT. But due to this perceived threat, this area is seen as dangerous even in the DAY, with people avoiding having human interaction as much as possible in the area of industries. We also observe that incase of nonavailability of the people in the area, people walk closer to the vehicles even though they have high speed , as they feel it as a sense of safety in the area. In addition to that , the defense mechanisms are very much seen in the women , with avoiding eye contact and looking away during the evenings. It is quite fascinating to see the not only physical elements , but also the perceived elements change the way we see the world.
