In Memoriam

JR Strzelec On February 24, 2012 a world of people lost one of the most singularly gentle, supportive, talented, loving and amazing young spirit. JR never went a day without smiling and never lived a day without lending his help, love, and support to everyone he encountered. His humble spirit was a bundle of talent, and his short three years in Chicago were a wonderful gift to all of us fortunate enough to share the stage with him in improv, musicals, and sketch comedy. There is never enough to say or do at a time of loss. There is such an outpouring of love that we all feel and share for JR’s family during these difficult days ahead. Our hearts go out to the Strzelec family. You will be missed.

Matthew Asciutto (Matt; Writer; Director) can hardly believe that this show stands in front of you today. He is very proud of everyone who helped put it there. When he’s not writing rock operas, he can be found at DePaul University pursuing his Master’s Degree in Chemistry. Among his previous theatrical pursuits, Matt’s favorites include playing the title role in the rock musical The Dude Abides and acting as a founding member of SongCo, a Second City House Ensemble. He would like to thank Melissa for her unflagging support.

Andi Woody (Mother Earth) is thrilled to be a part of “Admiral Earth”. When she’s not being kidnapped by evil doctors, Andi can be seen performing for the kiddies in Storytown at iO. Robert Jenkins (Poor French Robot) is currently performing every Sunday with Second City’s musical house ensemble Infinite Sundaes. He wants to thank His family, friends, Teachers and God for everything they have helped him accomplish. Get at me ladies. Thomas Einstein (Mist) moved to Chicago to study improv in 2010. excited to do the same with Captain Planet Admiral Earth. Phil Chester (Bass) was born in the United States around the year of 1990. Since then he has performed on trombone, bass, and didgeridoo. Phil was first titillated into the genre of rock opera by The Who’s “Tommy,” and later influenced by “Jesus Christ Superstar.” Although Phil has recently enjoyed Motörhead, he also enjoys friendship and love. His band, Wait, What? is a right jolly band that would very much like to play for you. Philip plays a red bass. Melissa Maddux (Choreographer; Co-Creator) is honored to be working with such a wonderful group of people. She moved back to Chicago after studying choreography in South Africa and founding a dance studio in La Jolla, California.
