LEARNING at REIKI AWAKENING ACADEMY How does learning at RAA work? Most of the classes are live in time on line using our online virtual classroom. You will be sent the link to your registered class on the day before class meets. If for any reason you miss the class, it may be available as a recording a few hours following the end of class. (Note: not all classes are suited to learning in a recorded format. Such classes will not be recorded). If you sign up for a class and realize you won’t make it, given 24 hours notice you may opt to:

ÁÁ take the class by recording and contact the teacher for assistance if necessary. ÁÁ apply the funds to another course being offered within the next two months if a recording is not available.

ÁÁ receive a 75% refund. You must give 24 hours notice for any of the above options.

Many personal enrichment students wish to move over to the Holistic Studies Certification program. This can be done at any time. Simply pay the Holistic Studies registration fee and contact Connie. For a $10 per class fee, any class you have taken with RAA in the past 12 months can be applied as credit courses to the program. To qualify you must contact the teacher and satisfactorily complete the certificate assignment from that teacher. 2

RAA CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS The RAA Lightworkers Intensive is a program designed for an intimate group of students who learn together in a 9-month program which includes lessons, practicums, and individual coaching. The Lightworkers Intensive begins each Fall and continues through the school year. The RAA Holistic Studies Program is a comprehensive and individualized course of study to get you fully empowered and educated in Healing, Metaphysics, and Business Practices. The Practical Reiki Instructor Certification Progam gives you Master Teacher training to empower you to teach Practical Reiki powerfully and effectively. You may also opt to be approved to offer CEs to RNs and other health professionals.

LIGHTWORKERS INTENSIVE PROGRAM Imagine learning together in an intimate setting with the same group of students for nine months. You discover and appreciate each other’s strengths and skills and watch each other grow, as you yourself become aware of your own shifts.You receive personalized one-on-one coaching each month towards your own goals.You progress, fully supported, from where you are, to Practitioner, and to Master Teacher, ready to be a confident and successful holistic professional in the field. This is what the Lightworkers Intensive Program is all about. PLEASE NOTE: This program begins in the Fall and continues through May each year. A new session will begin September, 2013. Class size is limited to 6. This program meets twice per month, and includes lecture and practicum in every lesson. You also receive an individual Mentoring Session each Section, to accelerate your progress and overcome your challenges. All texts and materials are included in the course fee! Students completing the program receive a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Energy Healing, as well as a “Recommended” listing on the Reiki Awakening Academy website The Lightworkers Intensive is offered online, as well as locally in Cleveland and Columbus, OH.A maximum of six students will be accepted for each location to provide the most individual interaction and intimate setting. 3

Holistic Studies Program The RAA Holistic Studies Program is a comprehensive and individualized course of study to get you fully empowered and educated in Healing, Metaphysics, and Business Practices. The Holistic Studies Program provides excellence in teaching in energy healing and all things metaphysical to give you a solid foundation plus all the newest hottest techniques to make you outstanding in your field. The Holistic Studies classes cut to the chase, removing the fluff to get you out doing the work quickly.

You may choose instruction in any way or combination of ways that suit you best – live online, recorded, live (in Columbus or Cleveland) and group or private one-onone classes. You may take several classes a week or a single class per month. Classes may be taken for interest, if desired. It is the same in-depth class but without assignment if taken for enrichment. Energy Anatomy Track Energy Anatomy Classes: E101 Meet & Greet the Human Aura (Connie Dohan) The aura is the matrix upon which the human body is built. In order for the physical body to be well, the aura must be clear, healthy and strong. Despite this, few people, even health professionals, know anything about the aura nor can they see it. In this class you will be presented with the academics of the 9 layers of the aura. As well, there will be a “hands on” time where you are taught how to locate your own aura & perceive the aura of yourself and others. Connie owns an aura/chakra camera and has taken over 1000 aura photos and interpreted them intuitively and analyzed them logically.

Energy Anatomy Classes: E102 How Spirituality Changes the Human Brain (Olga Norstrom) In this class, you’ll learn the neuroscience of how spirituality changes the brain… explained in simple terms Making a practice of connecting with Spirit literally changes numerous structures and functions in the brain that improve one’s physical, mental and spiritual health. In this class, I’ll use my academic background in neuroscience to explain how having a

spiritual connection changes the brain. While I’ll be teaching the science in simple terms that anyone can understand, you’ll walk away with the correct neuroscience terminology so that you are confident and knowledgeable when explaining the science to others. In the final part of the class, I’ll explain and demonstrate some research-proven techniques for tuning your brain in to Spirit, so it gets easier to make that connection.

(It is similar to Feng Shui, but is older than Feng Shui, and has some different concepts.) The foundation of Vastu is that everything in your home or business — from where the entrance is located, to where you accept payments from clients, to how certain important rooms are organized — can affect energy flow, and therefore positively or negatively affect the health, happiness, prosperity, and luck or everyone in that location. Healing Track Classes Healing Classes H101 Practical Reiki (Alice Langholt) Practical ReikiTM! A strong, revolutionary energy healing method. Learn this simple, powerful Reiki method online! Practical Reiki will empower you to heal yourself, help others heal, and open the doors to many new opportunities as a holistic practitioner. Practical Reiki is a user-friendly, simple and strong Reiki modality distinguished by these characteristics: There are no symbols.

ÁÁ There are no hand positions. The hands-on treatment involves placing hands on the shoulders of the recipient and letting the energy flow where it is needed. Distance channeling involves simply intending the energy to go to the recipient, holding the hands facing each other, and letting the energy flow until it stops.

ÁÁ The energy flows from the earth up,

combining with Reiki energy from above through the crown chakra and flows out

through the hands.

ÁÁ Giving attunements is a simple matter of intending that the recipient receive the attunement when ready.

ÁÁ A treatment typically takes about 5 minutes. The energy actually stops flowing when it’s done. The recipient, however, may feel the energy continue for up to an hour.

H102 Quantum Touch (Ernie Betz) Quantum-Touch is a natural healing technique which is used to raise one’s energy level, which in turn promotes relaxation and healing. No attunements are needed to learn this method. It is simple and effective. Participants will have the opportunity to experience their own life force energy and learn some basic Quantum-Touch healing techniques for immediate use. Note: It is recommended to bring a buddy to practice with during this workshop. (No extra fee for the buddy in the same room with the registered student).

This meridian tapping (also known as EFT) seminar will teach you how to work with this brilliant yet simple method to dissolve emotional pain, trauma, anxiety, grief, frustration, stress and many other unpleasant emotions and painful memories.

Power Reiki is a technique developed specifically for stubborn or long term problems such as pain, chronic illness, over weight issues. Healing Classes H106 Ama Deus Shamanic Healing (Olga Norstrom) It’s an energy-based system of shamanic healing from the Guarani people of South America. Ama Deus is a powerful shamanic energy healing technique that has been used for the past 6000 years by the Guarani people of Central Brazil. Ama Deus means “I love God” with the word “God” referring to the loving universal energy that connects us all. In this class, you will learn how to use Ama Deus energy in healing yourself and others. All classes may be taken for self improvement or certification You may take as many or as few classes per session as you please. Classes average 90 minutes You will finish the program at your own pace anywhere from 3 to 18 months. Classes taken for certification will require an additional assignment from you, either written or oral based.

More classes are added to the elective options throughout the year. Live RAA events attended are awarded a certificate and worth one elective credit. Classes may be taken online or live as is applicable. If a student wants a class not currently offered on the RAA calendar, he should contact the teacher and ask her to run it or arrange a private session with the teacher.

ÁÁ Holistic Studies Program Registration:

To be a student in the Holistic Studies program, there is a one-time registration fee of $250 The fee covers the extra assignment and teacher support you receive from each class, plus your advisor’s support to keep you on track and make sure your needs are being met.

Olga earned her Master’s in Neuroscience from Rutgers University, and Master’s in Health and Medical Journalism from NYU. A passion in natural health led her to pursue certification as an Ayurvedic Wellness Practitioner from the San Diego College of Ayurveda. Her specialties in Ayurveda include Ayuvedic nutrition, herbology, gemstone and crystal therapy, aromatherapy, breathing for health, meditation for health, and Vedic Astrology. She has also studied numerology and Western astrology, with a focus on clues about what health problems a person might to prone to, and how they can be remedied.

She recently completed the Holistic Studies program with the Reiki Awakening Academy, taking classes that ranged from tarot, to essential oils for Reiki, to reading stones –and she enjoyed every single one of them! She is in the very early stages of starting her businesses in Ayurvedic Wellness consulting and in energy healing.

Tom is an educator with a Masters in Instructional Technology. He is an Usui Reiki Master and a Practical/Kundalini Reiki master. He has also studied in Quantum Touch, EFT, Emotrance, The One Command, and Silva Mind Control.
