TAGE one of a $222 million redevelopment of Stockland Wetherill Park shopping centre is complete and grand opening celebrations will take place from tomorrow. Shoppers are invited to join in four fun-filled days of activities and giveaways from 9am on Thursday, March 19. Stockland Wetherill Park centre manager Paul Davis said the unveiling of the new sections of the mall would be celebrated with a host of fashion, food, art and music experiences in the centre. ‘‘Entertainment for all ages will be running from morning to night across the opening weekend featuring vivid public art and local street performances, fresh food demonstrations, kids’ entertainment and even an exclusive performance by Australian pop music and dance group Justice Crew on Thursday evening,’’ he said.

Stockland Wetherill Park centre manager Paul Davis said shoppers will be able to explore 53 new retail destinations from youth fashion and beauty to gadgets and gizmos. ‘‘With a host of well-known and loved brands including JB Hi-Fi, Kathmandu, Amart Sports, Industrie, Napolean Perdis, Universal Store, Footlocker, Sportsgirl, Lorna Jane and much more — Stockland Wetherill Park is set to be your place to shop till you drop,’’ he said. There is also lots for foodies to enjoy on Kinchin Lane. Mr Davis said the new outdoor dining precinct had something for everyone. ‘‘It is filled with an exotic, international mix of Thai, Vietnamese, Italian, Mexican and American food, thanks to the newly-opened Thai Rock, Pho 76, La Mono, Rashay’s Pizza, Pasta and Grill, Caffe I Viaggi, Blue Star Cafe´ and Mad Mex,’’ he said. ‘‘The list of fine food purveyors and franchises doesn’t end there with San Churro, Grill’d, Yogurtland, The Gozleme and Hero Sushi also ready to serve up some tasty food for you.’’ On Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening at 7pm a light projection show will illuminate Kinchin Lane and The Hub.

TOCKLAND has commissioned five internationally acclaimed street artists to add their creative flair to the first stage of the $222 million redevelopment of Stockland Wetherill Park. Stockland Wetherill Park centre manager Paul Davis said the communityfocused public art project titled Own the Moment included five larger-than-life murals by the hand, brush and spray cans of Fintan Magee, Numskull, Jumbo, Nico and Beastman. ‘‘Walk around the centre and admire the super-creative works,’’ he said. ‘‘Why not snap and share with your friends as well.’’
