Decaffeinated coffee is made by the removal of caffeine from coffee beans. Any other ingredients used in your coffee infusion such cocoa, tea leaves, and other caffeine-containing materials will also need to have caffeine removed. While coffee beverages which do not have caffeine as an ingredient are described as decaf coffee made with "decaffeinated coffee beans", since decaffeination depicts that there was caffeine present at one point before removal. Decaffeinated coffee drinks usually contains 1–2% of the original caffeine content, and sometimes as much as 20%. There are many techniques to remove caffeine from coffee beans. Most of these methods include water, organic solvents or carbon dioxide. Firstly Coffee beans are washed in the solvent till the caffeine content removes out of it, then the solvent is also taken off. The nutritional content of decaf coffee will remains same to as regular coffee, apart from the amount of caffeine.
